Re: Brother's Keeper missing .dll
Hi Steve.
I too am trying to run BK6 under Wine (Kubuntu) but I can't get it to even attempt to run. Have you had any success?

...for a while even though messages of
the kernel notified SCSI I/O error.
By applying following modifications, the above problem was solved.
Please consider applying this patch to the mainline kernels.

DLLs
Wine 1.1.2
Kubuntu 8.04 Hardy
I am experimenting with Brother's Keeper (BK6) in Wine. Generally it runs quite well. To get it to run however I found it necessary to copy DLLs from the system32 folder into the main program folder. I know that other people using other distros have not done this. Is there a more elegant way of achieving the same result?

Assertion failure in do_get_write_access() at fs/jbd/transaction.c:746
I guess this could be filed under the 'shot myself in the foot' section,
but I figured I'd report it anyways..
Kernel 2.5.50-bk6, x86, preempt, PIIX IDE, ext3 fs.
I dd'ed the first part of a ext3 partition to tmp, then mounted it via
loopback. (the image passed a fsck, except for warning about corrupt part.
table or superblock) I tried to 'cd' into a directory within that mount,
and got this:

Opening another Program From Wine App
I use a genealogy data management app called Brother's Keeper (BK6). It is possible to create a report in RTF format which will optionally be opened automatically in a word processor. To do so you must enter the path to the word processor. I can install Wordpad in Wine and it works quite well but I would like if possible to open a native Linux app. Can it be done?
