live video windows
Hi,
Does Icecast2.3 handle wmv (windows media video) format streams?
I need to set up a live streaming service. It is important that no
additional software should be installed on client side, so either need a
flash player (or java based player if we have nothing else) or a format
that can be played with the default Windows Media Player.
If it supports such things what software can I use to

Long-running pages cause mongrel time-outs
Hi all,
We use mongrel behind apache (using mod_proxy_balancer) to run an internal

Character Set Conversion Problem in 3.0.1?

Compiled with: --prefix=/usr/samba

I have been using Samba 2.2.x, and have files and dirs with umlauts

fine in Windows mounted shares. These same files/dirs show up as Bj?rk
in BASH with the default SUPPORTED=en_US.UTF-8:en_US:en environment

My problem is that both 3.0 and 3.0.1 don't display the character

Generating .R and .Rd files with Sweave/noweb?
I'm writing a couple of related functions, and I'd like to generate a
(single) .R file (containing the function definitions), and separate .Rd
files (documenting each function).
Would this be possible with Sweave/noewb? Has anyone tried something
along this idea?

Distances in codebook search
...interestingly, it still sounds alright.
Is somebody of you interested in the raw audio files producing these
weird distances? I think these weird distances are a problem in the
codec. Maybe it is possible to find out where the problem is more
exactly than based on tracks (maybe frames).
Regards,
Bj?rn
PS: if anybody of you uses R, I could send the R workspace file, too.

Doubled Quotas on Ubuntu
Hi all,
I'm seeing doubled quotas on Windows 7 when connecting to Samba. By
doubled, I mean that if I set a 1GB group quota on Linux, I see a 2GB
quota on Windows 7. The quotas seem correct with Samba 3.6.19 running
on a Linux 2.6.32 kernel on Mandriva; they are incorrect with Samba
3.6.22 on a Linux 3.12 kernel on Ubuntu. What could be wrong?
In more detail, I'm testing on both a

NAMESPACE and imports
I am cleaning up the rms package to not export functions not to be called
directly by users. rms uses generic functions defined in other packages.
For example there is a latex method in the Hmisc package, and rms has a
latex method for objects of class "anova.rms" so there are anova.rms and
latex.anova.rms functions in rms. I use:
export(asis,bj,bjplot,bootBCa,bootcov,bootplot,bplot,calibrate,cph,catg,combineRelatedPredictors,confplot,contrast,coxphFit,cph,cr.setup,datadist,effective.df,fastbw,formatNP,gendata,gIndex,Gini...

Exc CB Search very little Question
...B entries are being written into the stream. These
are all taken from the same codebook.
If I wanted to, I could just change their order, couldn't I?
Because important is only the linear combination of them all together,
which I keep invariant by just switching them around, I think.
