Are there other possibilities?
Are there special groups working on simultaneous computing with R?

pdMat

density estimate
Hi,
I have a vector or random variables and I'm estimating the density using
"bkde" function in the KernSmooth package. The out put contains two vectors
(x and y), and the R documentation calls y as the density estimates, but my
y-values are not exact density etstimates (since these are numbers larger
than 1)! what is y here? Is it possible to get the true estimated density at

Seeing the definition of a function
Dear all,
I was trying to see how the function 'confint' is defined. Doing
> confint
function (object, parm, level = 0.95, ...)
UseMethod("confint")
<environment: namespace:stats>
does not really enlighten me. How can I get to see the implementation (I guess it should be possible according to the general philosophy of the R project)?
Thanks in advance

reverse object creation
Dear all,
this is my first message to this mailing list - please advise if it is not
the right place for the subject
I've been using R very intensively the last 3-4 years and one of the most
tedious tasks is modification of lookup or conversion tables
So far, I have not found functions that create the commands for creating
objects (vectors, data frames) based on the objects themselves -
