Well I don't know if anyone can help with this but it will be interesting to know if others have had the same problem. I can't start R at home on my laptop [ I'm using 1.8.1 under Windows XP]. I installed R project 1.9.0 on Windows XP. The installation went well. Then, I rebooted.
