Cisco 801 and rcapi
(This is an extension of an email I sent earlier, but I'm not sure if it made it to the list or not.... I never saw it!) We seem to be accumulating Cisco 8XX series ISDN routers as DSL becomes more and more available in Australia and our clients upgrade. Does anyone know if those routers can make the ISDN channels available in a way that can be used by Asterisk? Preferably in a fairly raw

First SIP-registering succeeds, second doesn't
Hi all, I have a strange issue, with a some kind complicate architecture... A router of our internet provider is in front of another bintec rs353j router, at which my freepbx installation is located. However, NAT etc. seems to work fine. BUT: Something is not working...: When registering my sip-trunk towards my provider (3 different providers, all behave comparable), everything works at first. Calls are possible. But after some tim...

Registered successfully, but after a minute or so no SIP messages anymore
...what clear, why i get a busy, because the endpoint is not reachable. But WHY is the endpoint not reachable? Regarding the architecture: I have two routers cascaded, that is unfortunately necessary. On the first router (vDSL-access router) I have forwarded nearly everything to the second router (Bintec rj 353), where a port forwarding for relevant ports (sip and pjsip (udp and tcp), rtp (udp)) is configured. IF a call goes through, nearly everything is working (audio only incoming, but that is another issue). STUN is configured. FreePBX Firewall is disabled. Kind regards, andre -----------...

Samba over leased line
We have two Class C nets (192.168.1.0/24) and 192.168.2.0/24). These nets are connected through a pair of router (BinTec) via ISDN. The router have a short hold mode, i.e. cancels the line if no packets are to be received or transmitted. Recently we installed one Samba Server in a subnet. In the other subnet are several clients, which print to the samba-server (via the ISDN link). We have not much traffic during the...

RCAPI ISDN Support
Hello. It seems very very strange to me that nobody talks about connecting ISDN lines to asterisk using a device with RCAPI Support. There are some devices (most of them isdn routers, like the famous Cisco 800 family) that support this protocol. It basically is an ISDN to IP gateway. There used to be software that used this technology to send and receive faxes, act as voicemail and even ISDN

Starting from scratch w/ multiple uplinks
Hi guys; I''m sure you are all bored of hearing the same story over and over... but here it comes again. :) Yep, tomorrow I''m getting another ADSL line installed and I wanted my linux router to handle both providers (new and old). I have my linux router (fedora core 2) setup to do NAT for my current line, but I know I''ll need to change my configuration to

Network Diagnostics
In our smallest office, we have a Dell CentOS 7 system, a Windows system and an HP 8610 printer, all hard-wire Ethernet connected with a Linksys router. The router provides Internet connection. All of the network-connected systems get their IP address from the router at power up. Successful network connection of the printer at power up has recently started taking much longer than usual.? The

Registered successfully, but after a minute or so no SIP messages anymore
hi, let me explain in detail, what i have configured and what is happening now: 1st router w724v (Deutsche Telekom AG): - port forwarding, everything to destination port 51000-55999 to device with ip 192.168.2.50 (interface of 2nd router) 2nd router Bintec RS353j): - configured NAT, everything to port 51000-55999 to device 192.168.3.99 (same ports) other direction is totally open. I observed that all sip calls are closed exactly after 32s. call is disconnected on calling side as well... seems to be a timeout issue. here i have some debug lo...
