Suddenly can''t access the puppetmaster anymore
Hi, I have a number of puppets talking to 1 puppetmaster. Everything was working fine until suddenly this week the puppets are revolting. Whenever I try to run ''puppetd -v'' I see a lot of messages like: Certificates were not trusted: hostname was not match I''m sure I did not make any changes to DNS lately and I didn''t upgrade puppet on any of the machines

I think when running 3rd party code, the only way to definitely avoid this kind of trouble is to never deallocate any code or data sections. KVM guest incorrect CPU frequency
Hello, I am facing an issue where the detected CPU frequencies in KVM guests are incorrect. I am using the new Core i9 7900x with base clock 3.3GHz with "host-passthrough". Both Win10 and Linux guests incorrectly detect 3.45GHz for some reason. The workaround I have found is to temporarily switch to use HPET clocksource in the HOST before starting the VM. This makes the VMs correctly

puppetd 0.24.0 on Centos 4.5
Hi, I was managing a bunch of Centos 4.5 with Puppet until the ruby security patch bit me creating ssl problems. As I''m not able/willing to patch the installed version I tried upgrading to dlutter''s 0.24.0-2.el5 version. Unfortunately this didn''t help much. So I removed the server and client installation completely (making sure to manually remove the config, ssl, ...

splash screen + gfx
Hi I'm still looking for a good intro splash/credit image for ogg vorbis to go into ATD's games. The little blue fish is neat but not really up to scratch or big enough. I need something that is 640 x 480 and eye catching. :] Is there an official image apart from the fish? Think 'bink' and you'll be on the right lines. I have yet to notice any publicity come from vorbis use

(newbie alert) - home DV video and Premiere?
Howdy. I'm sorry if this has been discussed already, I missed it. (Just point me to the right archive if there is such a thing?) <p>Q1) Is there an easy "setup.exe" or similar, to install the Vorbis codec into Windows? Q2) Would that codec then be available under Adobe Premiere (or Windows Media Player for that matter)? Q3) Anyone recommend codec & settings, for

Introduction, questions
First, an introduction: I work in a group that makes educational software. In the coming months, we're planning to release our entire Mac/Windows runtime under the GPL. We currently encode our audio with MP3 and our video with VP3. For playback, we rely on QuickTime 5 on MacOS and Windows. In the short run, we'd like to help maintain the VP3 QuickTime codecs, preferably without

Problems compiling PHP --with-imap - can't find rfc822.h
I'm trying to add webmail (IMP/HORDE) to my OpenBSD 3.5 mail server (Procmail/Amavid/SA/DCC/Razor/Dovecot 0.99.10.7), which means adding PHP and several other libraries. I'm building PHP 4.3 from the ports tree and, as per the IMP/HORDE readme files, added --with-imap to the makefile. Makeing PHP barfs with a "Cannot find rfc822.h. Please check your IMAP installation." error. I

If something like this is already present and eluded my thorough archive and doc searches, feel free to smack me and then point me to the right direction. 4.8-RELEASE not identifying scsi drives
A problem with 4.8 reported by myself and Aaron D. Gifford. Anyone in -stable who knows more? ******** I'm assembling a Compaq 1850R with attached storage system. For the built in scsi controller (sym), there are three drives internally on channel 1 + 5 drives externally on channel 2. During boot, I can see all disks being identified first by the machine itself and then in the early part

strip realms and force lowercasing of usernames?
Is it possible for dovecot to strip realms and force lowercasing of usernames? We have a lot of dumb customers who try logging in to pop3 with crap like UsERNAmE and bla at nonexistentdomain.com. All our usernames are lowercase and we have no realms. Trying to get hundreds of customers to fix this is hard and is a significant and costly support burden. It would be nice if dovecot could handle
