Annoying Asterisk Realtime Limitation
...in there. If you put in 0.0.0.0, it seems to listen on the first interface it finds, probably eth0. You can't do that with OSPF because it's load balancing and traffic can come over eth1 instead. If you point all your Asterisk systems to a single table for sip.conf, what do you put in the binaddr setting? You can't use the systems IP address at lo:1, because they're all different, and you can't use 0.0.0.0 or lo:1. The only solution is to have one sip.conf table for every Asterisk system... 5 in our case. Anyway, so I went back to a plain text file for sip.conf. What a dissapoi...

Config File Management
...or subversion? A central 'config server' where you edit the files and then rsync them out? I have 5 systems to manage, and it seems that about the only common file is extensions.conf. All the other files, even sip.conf have subtle differences which preclude them from being the same file (binaddr for example). Thanks, Doug.

MGCP Phone and Asterisk PBX
Hello, Sorry for posting again my question about MGCP Phone and Asterisk But I can't use it. I'd like to know weather it is a pb of my confiuration (mgcp.conf), My IP Phone device or asterisk. I include my mgcp.conf file and may send some debug trace. Thank you for any feedback. Best regards, Daniel ANDRE ; ; MGCP Configuration for Asterisk ; [general] ;port = 2427 ;bindaddr =

Config Revision Control
Has anyone got any neat solutions for Asterisk .conf file revision control? We have multiple Asterisk boxes here, that we'd like to maintain a _mostly_ common set of conf files on. They aren't all the same though. There's subtle differences. For example, in sip.conf, iax.conf etc, the bindaddr setting is different. Dundi.conf is very different between each system. At the moment I
