Sparse KMeans/KDE/Nearest Neighbors?
hi,
I have a dataset (the netflix dataset) which is basically ~18k columns and
well variable number of rows but let's assume 25 thousand for now. The
dataset is very sparse. I was wondering how to do kmeans/nearest neighbors
or kernel density estimation on it.
I tired using the spMatrix function in "Matrix" package. I think I'm able to
create the matrix but as soon as I pass

ff objects and ordinary analytical functions.
Hi,
Can the plenty of analytical functions provided by base R and contributed packages be called with ff objects as parameters directly, or do we have to write special version of the functions for ff objects? If it is the latter case, is there a list of functions which support ff objects already.

Trabajar con un dataset muy grande
hola a todos,
Me gustaria saber qué haceis cuando el dataset para trabsjar es tan grande
que R no lo soporta.
Lo troceo con alguna otra herramienta?
Cual?
Gracias y feliz año!
