export the graphical result of bwplot()
Dear all,
Maybe somebody can help me to understand my problem:
Inside a R script, I try to export the graphic results of 'bwplot' in some
jpeg files.
The data source ('main') is a mix of numeric and factor values
the "analysis_bwplot()" contains the loops (i and j) and calls the
"analysis_var_var_bwplot()" method.
"analysis_var_var_bwplot()" uses

Scaffolding: Create, Edit, Destroy in admin area
Hi Community,
I''m currently trying to create a blog software in rails, but I''ve got
a problem:
I generated scaffolding for my articles and only want administrators
to write, edit or delete articles. So I wanted to move this parts to
another, secured controller. The one controller to display articles is
called articles :), the other is also called articles, but is located

If SELinux is working, then do
setsebool -P httpd_enable_homedirs on

Problems streaming Ogg Vorbis with icecast2+ices
Hello,
Perhaps it is a typical question but i've got stuck. I'm using icecast2+ices
to stream some ogg vorbis files or voice_in_life (/dev/dsp) over the
network/internet.
All seems to work fine, for example using:
ogg123 http://127.0.0.1:8000/mount
works :). And:
ogg123 http://my_internet_ip:8000/mount
works too from another pc over internet and far away :).
Using mplayer works fine

Problems with a PDC
Hello,
Perhaps I'm going to ask a stupid question, but it
represents a problem for me :'(.
My intention is to build a PDC with samba in a lan filled up with Windows
clients. I have set up the Samba server and I can "mount" a directory from
samba in a letter on a windows machine, such as g: for example. This works
fine, but...
I can't log in, or validate users, against the

SQL queries in Rails
Hi...
I want to know the equivalent instructions to insert, update, search
and delete a registry. I know Rails can do it easily Thanks to
ActiveRecord, but here''s the catch: I''m using PostgreSQL. As I''m using
SQL to do the migration (Including the foreign keys), I need to know
if I can use SQL queries to do those actions. Is there an example out
there?

EM algorithm to find MLE of coeff in mixed effects model
I have a general question about coefficients estimation of the mixed model.
I simulated a very basic model: Y|b=X*\beta+Z*b +\sigma^2* diag(ni);
b follows
N(0,\psi) #i.e. bivariate normal
where b is the latent variable, Z and X are ni*2 design matrices, sigma is
the error variance,
Y are longitudinal data, i.e. there are ni
