Testing whether a number belong to a set
...doesnot belong to either S1 or
S2, it gets a label 0.
iv) I have to do this for a large number of zip codes as well.
So I was thinking of embedding it into a if else loop but I am stuck on how
to define the "belongs to" in R syntax. Any hint will be much appreciated.

Fortran function for quantiles
Hi,
I was wondering whether there is any Fortran function or associated library
for evaluating the quantiles of a set of values (something which the
R-function quantile() does). Any help will be much appreciated.

Histogram Principal component analysis in R
...medical
papers have done this (Dehmeshki J, Ruto AC, Arridge S...(2001) : Analysis
Of MTR histograms in multiple sclerosis using PC and muliple LDA") maybe
using some medical softwares. However, It would be great to know if there
are any R functions that can do this.

Fitting mixed effects Baseline category logit models
...model (with 3-4 categories) with
nested random effects.
(For example, I have clusters(i) and households within clusters (j)
resulting in the nested
random effects structure : b_i +d_j(i)). Is there a R function/package that
I can use ? Any help
will be much appreciated.

Bivariate normal regression in R
...te but correlated responses
(say, Y1 and Y2). So, the bivariate
model would look like :
Y1 = a1 + b1*X + e1
Y2 = a2 + b2*X + e2
where e1 and e2 are error terms which can be correlated. Is there any
package in R which can help me fit this model ? Any help will be
appreciated.
