smb.conf 3.0.7 -> 3.0.23c domain master problem
...ld 3.0.7 samba running as PDC. As we have problems with XP64
clients accessing the domain, I compiled a 3.0.23c and copied the
smb.conf. Some of the client work well with the new Samba, but most of
them do not. Was there any relevant change in the smb.conf part between
the two versions?
Thanks

...cript. The
script works fine, I tested it. My problem is that according to the
scripts logging, samba only calls it for its own refresh.
It only sends lines like this every 20 minutes:
refresh SAMBA 20 259200 192.168.1.253
No client updates reach the script.
What could be the problem?
Thanks

Samba PDC, LDAP and permissions
...roup on the PDC provide a user and group list confirming
I can set user and group ownership on any file or folder to a valid LDAP
SambaSAM account and set permissions accordingly and these persmissions have
the appropriate effect on user's access.
The PDC's name is SMB1, the Domain is BGS. If I run net getlocalsid and net
getlocasid BGS on the PDC I receive the same SID in the both cases.
Smbldap-tools from Idealx.org works fine and I can add, modify and delete
user's accounts from the command line without problems. The whole LDAP setup
is from the idealx.org example

Cupsaddsmb fails

I know that the right password has been entered and I've tried the name
prefixed with the domain name as well. I've also tried wbinfo -g and -u
which both work and -t works fine. The machine has also been successfully
been attached to the domain and net rpc getsid BGS returns the correct sid.
If anyone can shine some light on this I'd be grateful :)

Doing "-A INPUT -p tcp -m tos --tos 0x08 -j MARK --set-mark 1" (in
mangle of course) is not good as the mark is lost. Doing tests with "-A
OUTPUT -p tcp -d test_client_ip -j MARK --set-mark 1" works ok.
Is there a solution?
Thanks in advance

Getent passwd works and returns all domain users.
Getent group returns all groups correctly.

wbinfo --own-domain returns the correct NT domain name
In short, everything seems to work OK until you run wbinfo -u or -g at

Is it possible to set the maildir format at mailbox level? I'd like to

Can I get RubyOnRails to read and parse an html file off harddrive?
I do this in ASP to read a special html template that I use, then modify in
code before spitting out the resulting webpage.
Any ideas on how to script this in RUBY? Do I need a special GEM package?

Version: 2.6.2 (signal v. 0.5)

The "filter" function in the package "signal" does not properly handle recursive
filters with only two feedback taps. I looked at the source code in filter.R.
There is a line that says "if (length(a) > 2)" that I think should have ">=".

I go through the process of adding the servers to the domain by setting

"joined domain BGS" and after restarting samba and winbind, wbinfo -u

Getent passwd and getent group both return full lists of users and
groups from the UNIX/LDAP side suggesting that nss and pam and

Selecting row indices from a data.frame by a factor and simple calculation (miniumum)
Hello
I wish to extract the row indices from a data.frame in which a column contains numeric data by calculating the minimum value, but grouped on another column factor:
An example data.frame:
Code absdiff
NY14/3070 2
NY14/3070 4
NY14/3070 1
NY14/5459 5
NY14/5459 7
So in this case the factor is Code and the numeric vector is absdiff
