IMAP Migration Tools
Hi, I am looking for tools to migrate Mails from one IMAP-Server to another. Until now I have always used imapsync, but it seems very slow. Even over a 2x10GB/s connection I only get speeds of about 600KiB/s, because the programm always pauses betweeen every single mail. Does anyone here have a suggestion for an alternative? Thanks in advance Julian

corrupted smoothing kernel ?

I do not have clear ideas about the difference betweeen "detrending" and "smoothing". I would appreciate some suggestions and/or literature references by people experienced about detrending and smoothing. I was told the there are two best methods about detrending: polynomial fit on a sliding window and kernel smoothing. I keep bein...

IP Tunneling
Hello I have /25 addressed on a box (virtual devices on eth0) and I want to tunnel some of these addresses to my home network. One address to my gateway (a.b.c.d, external IP) and one address to my internal network (192.168.0.0/24-style). I will use the tunnels for irc, smtp and surfing. What protocol and which technique is easiest and best to use? One more thing. I don''t want to set up

[LLVMdev] Sconstruct for win32
...itted files ;-( With my hacked version of the checkout the script build Fibonacci.exe and HowToUseJIT.exe among with the proper libraries. I included also a demo version of the HowToUseJIT Visual studio project generated by the script. You can debug the program in the usual way with VS, stepping betweeen the source code. Keep in mind that the VS project is updated automatically by scons, so if you want to modify some flags do it via the script. HPUX: ssh hangs after shell exit
...ealted to this is (but does not happen 100% of the time) is that a scp of a file from a HPUX-11.00 sshd server will hang indefinitely. Looking at the same ps output will show the same <defunct> process again. ---- The problem is only seen when the sshd server is running on HPUX, connections betweeen other hosts respond as expected. I can also provide output from sshd -d and ssh -v -v -v if needed and anything else that might help to clear this up. Thanks, -ab

Take a look at mbsync (isync). Very flexible and quite fast. I've also used offlineimap for a long time. DC

SAMBA 2.2.3a printing doesn't succeed on first try (bug 'printer handle not found')

Sometimes the applications give something back like 'RPC server not reachable' the first time. Linking shares via WAN or VPN
Hello List, here?s what i got: 2 Boxes running Samba 3 with LDAP as Backend, one in each Location. The Authentification works fine via the Wan-Link, that?s not the problem. However, since we want the Users to be able to roam not only inside the Offices - but also betweeen them - we need to implement a system that also keeps the actual Data and Profiles in Sync. ATM, we?re using UNISON to do this, which works perfectly EXCEPT: If one of the files has been modified on both sides, it won?t update. My Question now is: Is there a possibility to lock files on different...

Accessing the host server's file system from a guest OS
Is there no way in which one can access the host's filesystem from within a guest OS. Libvirt's virt-manager GUI seems to indicate that there is, by virtue of the FileSystem Passthrough option as shown below [image: Inline image 1] The scenario I typically have is a Linux Server on a ext4 file system, with a Windows 7 Guest OS running a KVM machine. No matter what combination of
