IMAP Migration Tools
Hi,
I am looking for tools to migrate Mails from one IMAP-Server to
another. Until now I have always used imapsync, but it seems very
slow. Even over a 2x10GB/s connection I only get speeds of about
600KiB/s, because the programm always pauses betweeen every single
mail.
Does anyone here have a suggestion for an alternative?
Thanks in advance

Dovecot 1.1.x and 1.2.x differencies
...for about a year now. It
has been very stable.
Now I'm uprading that same system to newer and more powerful hardware
and I was wondering whether it is good idea or not to switch to Dovecot
1.2.x series. Could anybody direct me to feature comparision document or
explain here main differences betweeen thos two branches?

Intersection an Sum between list and matrix
Hello,
I need to do an intersection between the list elements (partitionslist) and
the columns and rows of a matrix (mm), so that the result will be the sums
of the rows and columns.
Thanks a lot,
Romildo Martins
Example
1.The Intersection and sum betweeen partitionslist[[1]][[2]] and mm is
indicated in bold.
2.The Intersection and sum betweeen partitionslist[[1]][[2]] and mm is
indicated in red italic.
> partitionslist[[1]][[1]]

How do I search for "greetings of the day"
...doveadm import -u restore at backup.invalid mdbox:/home/copymail/mdbox "" mailbox INBOX BODY "Greetings of the day"
doveadm import -u restore at backup.invalid mdbox:/home/copymail/mdbox "" mailbox INBOX TEXT "Greetings of the day"
(what's the difference betweeen BODY and TEXT?)
Is it even possible, given that "the" and "of" are probably stop words?

My goal is to detrend a time series affected by non-linear trend. I do not have clear ideas about the
difference betweeen "detrending" and "smoothing". I would appreciate some suggestions and/or literature references
by people experienced about detrending and smoothing.
I was told the there are two best methods about detrending: polynomial fit on a sliding window and kernel smoothing.

IP Tunneling
Hello
I have /25 addressed on a box (virtual devices on eth0) and I want to
tunnel some of these addresses to my home network. One address to my
gateway (a.b.c.d, external IP) and one address to my internal network
(192.168.0.0/24-style). I will use the tunnels for irc, smtp and surfing.
What protocol and which technique is easiest and best to use?
One more thing. I don''t want to set up

With my hacked version of the checkout the script build Fibonacci.exe
and HowToUseJIT.exe among with the proper libraries.
I included also a demo version of the HowToUseJIT Visual studio project
generated by the script.
You can debug the program in the usual way with VS, stepping betweeen
the source code. Keep in mind that the VS project is updated
automatically by scons, so if you want to modify some flags do it via
the script.
Enjoy.

HPUX: ssh hangs after shell exit
...ealted to this is (but does
not happen 100% of the time) is that a scp of a file from a HPUX-11.00
sshd server will hang indefinitely. Looking at the same ps output will
show the same <defunct> process again.
----
The problem is only seen when the sshd server is running on HPUX,
connections betweeen other hosts respond as expected.
I can also provide output from sshd -d and ssh -v -v -v if needed and
anything else that might help to clear this up.
Thanks,

Take a look at mbsync (isync). Very flexible and quite fast. I've also
used offlineimap for a long time.

rsprng, snow, rmpi interactions

My immediate question: in snow I did clusterSetupSRNG. If a later want
to (re) set the system to a known seed, how do I do it? That is, I want
each distributed process to recreate exactly the same random numbers
that it did before; I assume SPRNG assures the streams are independent

Here's what I did, trying to stick within SNOW to avoid trouble (from

cl<-makeMPIcluster(11)
clusterSetupSPRNG(cl, seed=123)

which is faster and less bandwith
I am currently running on rsync on a linux server that also server
mysql, and webpages and email,
What it be better to run the rsync command on the backup server or the
live server to save bandwith on the live server?
Will it save system resources on the live server if i ran the rsynv
command of the backup server?
Witch one wil it make take less time to run?

SAMBA 2.2.3a printing doesn't succeed on first try (bug 'printer handle not found')

Print request from various MS WINDOWS platforms doesn't succeed on the

Linking shares via WAN or VPN
Hello List,
here?s what i got:
2 Boxes running Samba 3 with LDAP as Backend, one in each Location.
The Authentification works fine via the Wan-Link, that?s not the problem.
However, since we want the Users to be able to roam not only inside the
Offices - but also betweeen them - we need to implement a system that
also keeps the actual Data and Profiles in Sync. ATM, we?re using UNISON
to do this, which works perfectly EXCEPT: If one of the files has been
modified on both sides, it won?t update.
My Question now is: Is there a possibility to lock files on different...

Accessing the host server's file system from a guest OS
Is there no way in which one can access the host's filesystem from within a
guest OS.
Libvirt's virt-manager GUI seems to indicate that there is, by virtue of
the FileSystem Passthrough option as shown below

The scenario I typically have is a Linux Server on a ext4 file system, with
a Windows 7 Guest OS running a KVM machine.
