RMagick Resizing Issue
...o all my images are 240 pixels high or 360 pixels high, but not the correct
width. Is there a toggle for resizing proportionately, or is my call wrong?
I have been using this page for reference:

Lighttpd/fastcgi - one ruby process taking up 98% of the cpu
My app goes unresponsive after running for a while. I checked out
top, and one of the ruby processes is taking up 98% of the cpu. I
have no clue why this is happening, and I doubt anyone can tell me
specifically, but does anyone at least have any ideas as to where I
should look?

[OT] Lighttpd + AWStats
Hello ~
I have posted a tutorial on my blog,
http://www.benr75.com/pages/lighttpd_awstats_tutorial, on how to get
AWStats and Lighttpd to work together. I thought it might be of interest to
Rails folk as I know many run Light.
Enjoy,

Adding a mirror to an existing single disk zpool
...pe out UFS and then attach that partition to the zpool as a mirror.
Problem is, I can''t see how to do this. I can add the drive in a concat fashion but can''t see how to add it as a mirror. So how do I turn a ZFS concat into a ZFS mirror without having to start from scratch?

FastCgi issue
Hi,
I know that Apache2 + fastcgi is sometimes difficult to setup, but I was
wondering if anyone has come across this error and if yes what did you
do to resolve it?

snapdir visable recursively throughout a dataset
...can''t view .zfs/ from within the zone because the zone root is one dir down:
/zones <-- Dataset
/zones/myzone01 <-- Dataset, .zfs is located here.
/zones/myzone01/root <-- Directory, want .zfs Here!
The ultimate idea is to make ZFS snapdirs accessable from within the zone.

FastCGI cannot start; Rails doesn''t work
I have a problem deploying FastCGI for use with RoR.
OS: FreeBSD 5.4
Apache: 2.0.55
FastCGI: 2.4.2

I compiled a new mod_fastcgi.so and copied it to
/usr/lib/apache/mod_fastcgi.so

My httpd.conf looks like this:
LoadModule fastcgi_module /usr/lib/apache/mod_fastcgi.so
<IfModule mod_fastcgi.c>
AddHandler fastcgi-script .fcgi

Cross Platform Mixers and LibAO

FreeBSD without problems, I'd hate to cludge it up if I can avoid it.
At the moment I'm just using an OSS mixer, but am ready to re-write the
mixer code. Is it possibly that at some point in the future libao
might include mixer functions?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

I''ve tried variations, such as plumb''ing skge0 in the globalzone, etc, but I''ve had no luck. Are IP Instances only valid with certain NIC''s (every example I''ve ever seen was bge) or am I missing something?
Thanks.

Handling/Catching Exceptions
Hello!
I was wondering, sometimes I raise an exception in my Rails apps, e.g.:
raise SecurityError unless @post.user == logged_in_user
Now: is there any way to catch that SecurityError exception somewhere
and render a custom template? E.g., I want to render
''app/views/content/security_error.rhtml''
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks a bunch,
Rob

Problem with DemoCD 1.2
...n the libxc.so.1.2 shared object.
And sure enough, it''s not there. libxc.so is in /usr/lib, but not
libxc.so.1.2. And because the /usr file system is read-only I can not
simply link it and update the linker cache.
I haven''t seen mail in the archives about this.
Thank You.

ZIL FOID
...For all the calls with the same FOID, does that mean they are ZIL commits on the same POSIX file? I see no easy way to trace these commits back through all the layers to determine which file it is, but just knowing that some file is being hammered on more than another is something worth knowing.

Possible Rails Security Issue?
I have an e-commerce site and users check out with a form. The
results of that form are sent to a "confirm your order" page via
POST. I take great pains to NEVER store the full credit card number
on my server--just the last 4 digits. I was very surprised to find
that by default Rails will record POST requests with parameters in
the production.log. And those parameters
