Managing private key files; content=>file vs. binary content.
Hi all, Hi all, We use puppet for, amongst other things, managing the private-key files needed for things like SSL certificates for HTTPS web servers. We have a few constraints on how these are handled, and changes in recent versions of puppet are making this harder than it perhaps ought to be to implement, so I''m curious to know how others are handling it. A site''s private

dovecot disk space settings
Hi, is there an option to leave some disk space free? Let's say, don't store new mails if the storage mount point has less than 1% free disk space. What's the way to go? I don't want to restrict each mailbox size. It's just to prevent running out space completely. Thanks! Best regards, Marcel

Server entering Emergency Shell, but continues fine after pressing Enter
Hello all, I've got an odd problem that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. I have several identical CentOS 7 servers (GCE instances). I recently ran `yum update` and rebooted all of them. All the servers came back fine except one. I opened a connection to the serial console of the broken server, and was greeted with this prompt: ? Cannot open access to console, the root

DVR recorder how to resucue files
It looks like you've backuped an entire disk that might contain partitions. So first check if you have partitions inside: sudo fdisk -lu save.dd If you have partitions inside, use the start offset of the partition to create a loopback device (e.g. a partition starts at 56): sudo losetup -o $((56*512)) /dev/loop0 save.dd Now you should be able to use the partition. First check and than
