Sendfile. beta test
I have found a package called sendfile that let you send files
over network.
It installs a prog called sendfile to send and a daemon called sendfiled,
called on demand by inetd.
I''d like to know if this package is security safe

Triggering program from a daemon
Hi,
I wish to run a Windows program under Linux. It will be triggered
from another program when nobody is logged in; in other words,
it won't need a GUI; it's just doing number crunching.
How do I configure Wine to do this? When I run the program it
just says, "Wine exited with a successful status", but it is supposed
to create files etc, and nothing is really done. (It

I'm running Mandrake 8.1 (Cooker).
I get the subject error when I try to start wine. I've tried the latest
wine version (20010629) and the next to latest version. Same result.
I've tried rebuilding wine on my machine. That's successful but error
remains
Anyone know what this is and how to make it go away?

Netscape/Mozilla: Windows plugins via Wine?
Many useful Netscape plugins don't come in Linux versions. Is it
possible to make my Linux copy of Netscape use Windows-compiled plugins?
If so, how?

...eating a new file on the share the executive bit of the user is set but
the executive bit of the group is not. I need to have the user exec bit set
too. Does anybody know whats gone wrong ??
