How about installing the libtool development stuff? Otherwise, it may have something to do with automake 1.9 (I'm using 1.8). patch for compilation under MACOSX
I just compiled speex under my new intel iMac with MacOSX and get a compilation issue with the malloc.h header not being found. Here is a patch that avoid inclusion of malloc.h under MACOSX.
