The availability of a very powerfull text editor that can be worked with
in a terminal the same whether local or remote (via ssh) gives a
concistency that other editors lack, or, in the case of emacs, are not my
taste at all.
Jedit is java based, and for me in use where projects span bejond a single
Operating System (Linux, Solaris, Windows and MacOS mostly).

too many open files , samba crashes
hello,
using SuSE 7.3 with all Patches and SAMBA 2.2.7a-SuSE
after a couple of days too many files are opend (bejond 16000) and samba hast to
be totally stopped and restartet.
the log tells us the following:

trouble routing packets
...o the daemons. The trouble
is the routing / firewalling of the packets. Maybe somebody could give me
a hand here? :)
The configuration of the two lans is printed below. I have no trouble
pinging from my gateway to the other gateway (192.168.1.1 -> 192.168.2.1)
and vise versa but I can't ping bejond a gateway. I however see the
packets arriving on either side on the gateway using tcpdump:
tcpdump -i tap0

frame/graphics lag in microsoft Freelancer
Huhu,
I installed MS Freelancer via PlayOnLinux, but I have some graphics lags ingame/the game was redicoulus slow, I also wasn't really able to start a new game since the game hang up (kinda. It just didn't wanted to finish loading)
One idea of me would be that it still runs in DX mode, how can I change it to OpenGL?
On a side note, I have enough ressources to run the game at windows.
