Strange R/party behaviuor in CentOS
...R Foundation for Statistical Computing ISBN 3-900051-07-0 Platform: x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu (64-bit) May that be some configuration of CentOS that kill R because of too much processing? Thanks! Two bugs showing up mostly on SPARC systems
...t will occur with low probability on most platforms. The second bug, in readBin, may occur on systems in which unaligned access to data more than one byte in size is an error, depending on details of the compiler. It showed up with gcc 4.9.2 on a SPARC system. The fix slightly changes the error behaviuor, signaling an error on inappropriate reads before reading any data, rather than after reading one (but not all) items as before. Radford Neal

Unix Extensions and "force create mode"?
...n a Linux client writes to this share, the permissions are set from the client (in my case the default is 660). This is wrong because I need 664 on this share. If I disable Unix Extensions on the server, the "force" settings are enforced correctly. Is this a bug or is it the intended behaviuor? Is there a way to force permissions even when files are accessed from a Linux client that uses Unix extensions? Thanks

has_many :through and foo.bars.include?
...mins.include? User.last => Exception (see above) Group.first.admin_ids.include? User.last => false I already checked will_paginate as it is mentioned in the trace. But in my test-project i set up it is working perfectly with the above code and will_paginate installed. Has anyone ever seen a behaviuor like this? Any clues, hints or tipps?

C7 and WOL
Hi list, I've encountered a problem with wol. I'm not new to this but this time I found unwanted behaviuor. I'm triyng to wol another c7 machine. When I run ether-wake @mac the system is started. When I shutdown the system after 3 seconds it start again and again and again. To block this wol-loop I must disable wol on uefi or shutdown the switch. I don't know what check. Any suggestions?...

ssh channel window and adjustment
...s ;). Recently I investigated the OpenSSH client behaviour. It seems to me that OpenSSH client sends SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_WINDOW_ADJUST, when it writes more than the half of its own channel window size(the initial channel window size it is sending to its peer, when opening new channel). I think that this behaviuor may be quite incorrect. Here is an example of such situation: let's say the user using OpenSSH client sends commands to th SSH server and if we suppose these commands have big console output, then OpenSSH client's channel window may be filled much faster than the server's channel windo...

yum kernel update problem
On the subject of kernel updates: I had my install kernel (2.6.18-8.el5xen) and 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5xen on the box. I was unable to originally boot the update (8.1.8xen) because of the 3ware driver issues (I needed to use a driver floppy at install time). I jumped through some hoops (which I am struggling to understand) with weak-updates to get the 2.6.18-8.1.8 kernel to see my raid devices, which

Why smartctl does not update Reallocated_Event_Count? Badblocks found on sda increase/decrease without a clean reason. This behaviuor can be related with raid (if a disk had badblocks this badblock can be replicated on second disk?)? What other test I can perform to verify disks problems? Thanks in advance.
