strange behavier after finished backup
Hola,
new to the list and maybe having problems with english I ask for a friendly and a not too difficult answer.

Here is the stange behavier:
I use

[LLVMdev] LTO & PIC
...ations to the build system it is not possible to do
old non LTO builds that involve some old PIC behaviour, this means Cygwin
and possible other platforms old behaviours is broken, and they are not
LTO'ed yet either.
Would it be possible to have both the old PIC behaviour and the new LTO
based behavious coincide via a flags like --enable-lto=(yes,no) and for
older PIC behavious to be unchanged from there old behaviour allowing
--enable-pic=(yes,no) to function separtately from --enable-lto.
I think this would be cleared and more logical to have a separation of
concerns with PIC behaviour separate...

Thanks. This is one of the typos I make very consistently.

[Flac-users] Win2k 1.1.0 crash
Hi,
I just started using FLAC and am very impressed. However I have
run into a problem with the current (and other) Windows
executables.
If I encode with a higher compression level (say 7 or 8) I stand a
high probability of BSODing or just plain rebooting. Strangely
enough this behavious seems to go away if I use the default 5
compression level.
Has anyone else had problems like this and is there a known fix
(other than encoding at lower compression).
So far this is true for 1.1.0 and 1.0.4 (the only 2 I have tried)
on Win2K

Problem with ability to dial out when a channel is used from an external equipment in a point to multi point configuration
...the first two channels are busy normally and I try to use a third channel the channels from the second controller are used.
But when a channel is occupied by the capisuite fax and we need a third channel asterisk responds with "every one is busy congested at this time".
I think the same behavious would have happened if an external equipment was using the isdn channel in a point to multi point configuration.
The same behavious happens when I unplug the cable from the ISDN controller 1.
This means that when one ISDN line from the group of 4 lines isn't working then the pbx is unable to di...

sieve-extprograms strips Return-Path headers
The sieve-extprograms extension strips Return-Path headers before
passing mail off to the external program. The patch to remove this
behavious is trivial (and attached), but since it appears to be
deliberate I felt I should investigate further.
I believe this is basically a cut-and-paste error. The code to strip
Return-Path has been there since the sieve-pipe plugin for Dovecot 1.x,
and I believe it was copied from the equivalent code in...

Dovecot behaviour when the server's file system fails (possible feature request)
...ecognize that the mailbox actually is not accessible,
and in that case it would return an error message to the mail
client instead of returning "empty mailbox"? Of course, a
smart enough mail client might also ask something from the
user, but that seems not be the case either...
If this behavious cannot be changed with the current
configuration options, then a kind feature request to the
developer:
Would it be possible to change the behaviour of Dovecot
when it actually can not access the mailbox files?
Although the actual problem in this case is outside Dovecot,
this kind of improvement w...

the domain after-hours so nobody even noticed there
was any problem.
So why am I telling you this? Because I think someone
from the Samba team should shed some light on the
topic and explain under what circumstances this
pathological behavious can be expected. I did quite
a bit of debugging with Samba's log levels, ethereal
and filemon.exe but hard as I tried to make any
sense of the data there was never any indication that
anything was our of ordinary. Samba maintains that
everything is hunky-dorey, no problems there. Ethereal

timeout timer gets reset after bad kernel image
Since this is my first post on the mailing list I got to get all the praising out of the way. I have played around with isolinux for a couple of days now, and it is really great. Thank you Peter.
Now regarding the timeout.
The timeout gets interrupted when one presses any key on the keyboard, however if I enter an invalid kernel image to boot the timeout is restarted after isolinux fails to

Almost 2000
I'm trying to get this program to function properly with wine.
The program is used to calculate the detection levels of a sonar in various conditions.
It runs fine, but the File menu is a bit bugged. After i openend a menu item and move over the menu items, the menu hangs. And the weird thing is i can move the main window, which leaves the menu window floating around.
I've attached a

Missing files in directory listings
Hi
A customer of mine has a strange problem with samba 2.2.8a
They have a number of directories with 600 - 800 files in each
directory.
When new files are added to the directories, and they do a directory
listing on their PC's ( Win 2000 pro SP2 and SP3 ), the last 10 files
are not shown. THis happens both when using "explorer" or doing a `dir`
in an command prom window.

Problem with symlinks
I'm using samba 3.0.4 compiled from sources on a linux box (RH 7.3).
My smb.conf contains in a share section the setting:
follow symlinks = yes
In that share I created a symlink to a local file.
When I open the symlink from Windows box (the symlink appear as a
regular file) I access correctly the target file, but when I edit&save
the file, sometime the symlink is deleted and a regular

Using multiple password servers in smb.conf
Hi all,
I've trying to use multiple password servers in my
smb.conf. I'm using net utility for authenticating to
a AD server.
The behavious I see on 3.0.4 version of net utility is
as following:
1: It tries to connect to first password server.
2: If first password server is down, it keeps on
retrying for 3 min.
3: After three minutes, it tries second password
server.
4: If second password server is down it tries three
times.
5: It the...

t-test behavior given that the null hypothesis is true
Dear all,
I observer a strange behavior of the pvalues of the t-test under the null
hypothesis. Specifically, I obtain 2 samples of 3 individuals each from a
normal distribution of mean 0 and variance 1. Then, I calculate the pvalue
using the t-test (var.equal=TRUE, samples are independent). When I make a
histogram of pvalues I see that consistently the bin of the smallest
pvalues has a lower

have a laptop running which I try to backup.
On the laptop I created a share called "C" and assigned access

...everything comes through as a sync write, it

Again - I''m looking for thoughts here - as I have only really just
started looking into this. Should I happen across anything interesting,
I''ll followup this post.
Cheers,

[Bug 757] New: SIP connection helper not setting RTCP conntrack expectation
...es are translated as expected as far as I can tell.
When the session is successful, conntrack -E is able to show the UDP connection
streams being expected from both sides (both RTCP and RTP). When the session
is unsuccessful, conntrack -E only show the UDP connections from the called
party.
This behavious has been replicated with the iptables packages 1.4.4-2ubuntu2,
1.4.4.4-2ubuntu3 and 1.4.10-1ubuntu1 and libnetfilter-conntrack packages
0.0.101-1 and 0.9.1-1 under Ubuntu Maverick (10.10), Natty (11.04) and Oneiric
(11.10). I'm using the nf_conntrack_sip and nf_nat_sip helpers.
It seems to me...
