As Stephen said, Hyper-V supports the serial UUID thing from day-one.
It's just the Linux netvsc guest driver itself does not leverage that
ID from the very beginging.

I am working on that. The problem is that it requires some messy work
to go from VF netdevice back to PCI device and from there to the PCI hyperv
host infrastructure to find the serial number.
I was hoping that the serial number would also match the concept of PC...

Reg. vorbis_staticbook_unpack
...his function just reads the codebooks in some structure
(static_codebook) and does not actually map the codewords to the
codevalues.
Does anyone know what functions can I use in this function to actually
view this mapping? I just want to display something like below: I can
already decode lines beginging with "[SK]". Lookat lines begining with
"[XXX]" only.

I''ve created a simple hello world app that doesnt appear to serve up
the view greeting.rhtml. :<
Any ideas ?
