Noisy sound quality with Blackfin in WB-mode
Hello all, I'm testing the Speex codec for my diploma thesis on a BF-533 Blackfin under uCLinux (2005R3 RC3 release). I successfully compiled the Speex (1.1.11-svn) and I can encode/decode wav-files on my STAMP-board using the speexenc/speexdec sample apps. But I encountered that the decoded file sounds strange/noisy, when compiling with "--enable-blackfin-asm" +

Issue with Wx::Image class, especially set_data
Hello Hopefully some developer will see this too. I''ve problems using set_data method for example with wxruby 1.9.7/ruby 1.8.6 on mswin32. It always crashes: ..../classes/bitmap.rb:17: [BUG] segmentation fault On my Linux it works fine (thats no suprise of course). Probably somebody has a clue - I exported this raw data also with get_data, I guess this should be platform independent

Noisy sound quality with Blackfin in WB-mode
Hi Bernhard, Can you confirm I'm understanding everything correctly? You encode with the same encoder and then decode with either A) blackfin assembly and fixed-point or B) fixed-point only on Blackfin. Then A) sounds bad and B) sounds good. If you do the same in narrowband, it sounds OK. Is that correct? If that's the case, it's *probably* some kind of bug and/or invalid assumption

Automatically close Windows program on crash?
I have a program that, under certain circumstances, will crash out with the "Serious Error" popup. In order to better probe the crash with an automated test harness, I'd like to be able to skip that popup and just have the process terminate. Is there a way to do that? Tell Wine "hey, if this program segfaults, just close it without asking me"? Hoping this is something

Speex + Ogg package
...on a speex + theora webchat. I have both working alone, but to make them work together and to know where the package goes, I'm trying to use ogg packages. With theora there has been no problem, but with speex I can't make it work. The problem is that for a second it works great, but then it begings to gain lag, and in a little time it has 5-10 lag seconds (into the same machine, working on loopback). Currently I'm packaging 4 frames per package (FRAMES_PACKET=4). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Into the encoder I have this code: speex_bits_reset(&enc_bits); for(int i=0;i<...

winbind: group name doesn't map to a SID, but gid does
I'm using winbind v3.0.22 on Debian Linux as a source for nss info. I have a group that was once known by winbind, but is no more: ------ beging shell except ------ # ls -ld ./ drwxrws--- 10 root $MND000-TT227MV5K24I 4096 2006-05-10 15:41 ./ # ------ end shell except ------ It must have been known, as I was the one who chgrp'ed the dir originally. I know what the group name is supposed to be. When I look it up in MsAD UsersNGroups...

...ose that virtual machine last and only before it would shut down, it would call the poweroff command. I set the offdelay option of the ups to 300s and ondelay option to 600s and here comes in my problem, whenever the battery.low condition or the upssched script calls the FSD action, everything will beging to shut down normally, except that the UPS will turn off the load in about 100 seconds (while the ESXi host still needs over a minute to shutdown and the VM has not yet called the poweroff flag). I am at a bit of a loss what I could even try here, the only method that seems to signal the ESXi host...

Joystick axis mapping issue (wine/linux)
Good day to you wine users I've following problem, I've a cheap joystick which is recognized as DragonRise Inc. - however many of them are I guess. It's some china stuff which is each time labeled different but almost always the same device (or so I've heard). Everything works great except the joystick is recognized as being 7 axis one - I really dont know why it does this. It

ssh_config, AddressFamily
Hello I was wondering why I cant set inet6,inet - like Protocol version 2,1 - it would be nice if I would be able to set a kind of prefer mode for IPv6 as for protocol 2. But only one argument is accepted: inet6, inet or any. At least that is what the manpage tells me, I also tested it - no way. Why is this feature not included? Will it be included? If you think it's my mistake then please

SAMBA server problem
...ecks file properties, there is a large amount of data transmitted to the client (similar to the size of the file in bytes). It seems like the file is being transmitted to the client before the peoperties page is displayed. Windows 2K clients do not show this slow behaviour but still, more data is beging sent to the client than expected. This data transfer increases based on the file size also. Overall performance of the server is so-so but not bad. I have tried SAMBA versions 2.2.3 and 3.0.2 with the same results. I am running Debian version 3 kernel 2.4.17. I get the same results with Redhat...

Any buffering on server?
Hi, Thanks Mike. So is there any buffering done on the server, or is it all on the client? i.e. when a server first connects, does it get a "burst" of packets until it catches up to the current time? Thanks, Martin --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to

Clash between r-cran-vr and r-cran-mass
...age r-cran-mass 0 | Is it possible for the packages to be updated to resolve this clash? It's a somewhat long story: 1) For a decade, R had a bundle called 'VR' that contained (inter alia) MASS. 2) Many packages depend on MASS, but as MASS did not exist as an installable package (beging cloaked by VR) have to depend on VR instead. 3) So for Debian packages this became r-cran-vr, and we still have many package depending on r-cran-vr when it should be r-cran-mass that they should depend upon. 4) To make matters more interesting, R changed course and stopped having bundles. ...tion for this soon). You can try it (48 KB of startup buffers) at: http://mcrg.uib.es:8000/live.ogg and http://mcrg.uib.es:8000/high.ogg The only think I'm still not very convinced is that clients has to wait for at least 1 "source iteration" (and 2 in the worst case) in order to beging to receive any data at all. This is due to the algorith: while (source) wait for source read from source send to clients check new clients add buffers etc.. end I think the following will behave better for startups: while (source) wait for source check new clients...
