[patch] Allowing to_xml to rename keys in lower camel case format
...ted a patch to resolve an issue I had while
attempting to meet the OpenSocial API specifications, which dictates that
the xml output have tags formatted as lower camelcase (as opposed to upper
camelcase, which is currently the only option). With this patch, simply
passing :camelize => true still begets the current behavior, but you can now
enable lower camel-casing by passing :camelize => :lower. Please have a look
if you get the chance - I appreciate your feedback.

Support for SLES9
Support for SLES9 seems to be pretty much lacking at the moment.
The OCFS2 site [1] states OCFS2 is supported with SP2+. There actually
does not exist a SP2+ for SLES9 (or should this rather read "will be
supported in SP3" instead?).
Latest RPMs that come with SLES9 SP2 are 0.99.14 which has critical known
bugs and is unusable.
Anybody got to compile current source on SLES9 x86_64?

LoginEngine vs. LoginGenerator?
I just saw a mention here of LoginEngine, which I hadn''t heard of
before. Last week when I was digging for user-account sample code for
my web-app, I instead found the LoginGenerator and started using that:
http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/pages/LoginGenerator
Is one of these preferred over the other? From skimming the API docs,
it does seem that LoginEngine has more features,

Centos 8 on Macbook
Folks
I am trying to install Centos 8.1 on a MacBook Pro. I have a
bootable USB stick with centos-8.1-boot (which I think is the
equivalent of a netinstall), and it boots. However, when I select
the storage option, and choose to make more space on the SSD, go
through the confirming dialogs, the installer complains that it was
unable to save the information to the disk. A similar attempt

Is this an index problem?
...k side -thinking that is where
the problem lays. Rebuild the .pst file, had Outlook re-index,
compacted the .pst file, etc.
So now I'm thinking that maybe I need to just wipe out all of the
~/Mailder/dovecot* files (including all those in sub-directories) and
let it all reindex. Which begets 3 questions:
(1) will this help?
(2) anyone have a shell script that will remove all those dovecot* files
from the user's directory AND all the sub-directories?
(3) Any other suggestions I might be missing?

Even more contraptions + hardy + Wine 0.9.59 mouse problem
First of all, all other games and software work perfectly in Wine.
I installed Sierra's The incredible machine - even more contraptions, which installed fine. No complaints or anything. The game started up nicely and everything seems to work fine, but my mouse buttons do not work at all. It does no register any clicks of my mouse, but I can move around the menus by moving the mouse over a

1.0 specs
with the rather sudden and near release of 1.0, i am curious as to what
specifications were part of the original 1.0 documentation (or thoughts
inside montys head) that have now been put on hold to be implemented in
future releases. can anyone comment on this?

...other pageable output tried so far (e.g. library() or ?demo) appears

I wonder if I should file a bug about this issue or to seek the solution
in a local system misconfiguration.
Thank you for any helpful input!

Grandstream HT-286 and NAT
I have 2 Grandstream HT-286 devices and an Asterisk server. The *
Server is not using NAT and has port 5060 opened up. One HT-286 is
using traditional NAT and the other HT-286 is behind a residential DSL
router/firewall. I have the HT-286 setup as the "DMZ Host" in the
router/firewall so that all incoming connections are forwarded to the
HT-286.

SUSE Patches
Hello all,
I am running SLES9 with the latest kernel patches (2.6.5-7.282-bigsmp)
and ocfs2 version (1.2.1-SLES), I was wondering if anyone had any info
on if the latest ocfs2 will be included in SLES anytime soon. Or how to
get the patches from Novell. Thanks in advance!

Did DHH have a suit on?
So I''m wondering about the origin of "ActiveRecord" and "ActionPack" and
the like in Rails.
I''ve always thought that perhaps DHH found himself in a suit one day
(maybe he had to attend a friend''s wedding or something), and as long as
he had the suit on, decided to lapse into a one of the barely lucid
frenzies that Marketing people are prone to when

Aggregate data frame across columns
Folks,
I have a data frame with columns 200401, 200402, ..., 201207, 201208.
These represent years/months. What would be the best way to sum these columns by year? What about by quarter?
Thanks for your time,

Dead Gateway Detection & BGP
Greetings to all,
To start I’ll firstly lay down the foundation to what I have done so far and
if those of you on the list can provide further insight, tips, links etc.
This scenario consists of 2 firewalls (both running Debian “etch”), 2 Cisco
routers (unsure of model numbers) connected together like so in the diagram
below.
