Automatically close Windows program on crash?
I have a program that, under certain circumstances, will crash out with the "Serious Error" popup. In order to better probe the crash with an automated test harness, I'd like to be able to skip that popup and just have the process terminate. Is there a way to do that? Tell Wine "hey, if this program segfaults, just close it without asking me"? Hoping this is something

Speex + Ogg package
I'm currently working on a speex + theora webchat. I have both working alone, but to make them work together and to know where the package goes, I'm trying to use ogg packages. With theora there has been no problem, but with speex I can't make it work. The problem is that for a second it works great, but then it begings to gain lag, and in a little time it has 5-10 lag seconds (into

winbind: group name doesn't map to a SID, but gid does
I'm using winbind v3.0.22 on Debian Linux as a source for nss info. I have a group that was once known by winbind, but is no more: ------ beging shell except ------ # ls -ld ./ drwxrws--- 10 root $MND000-TT227MV5K24I 4096 2006-05-10 15:41 ./ # ------ end shell except ------ It must have been known, as I was the one who chgrp'ed the dir originally. NUT configuration with APC CS650 and ESXi host
Hello, I have decided to upgrade my home server by turning it into an ESXi host and have also added an APC CS650 UPS. My plan was to have NUT version 2.6.4 running in a Debian 7.7.0 virtual machine, NUT installed using apt. I configured NUT to run as a netserver, installed the ESXi nut .vib, configured the shutdowncmd in the VM to do nothing, so that the ESXi host would close that virtual machine

Joystick axis mapping issue (wine/linux)
Good day to you wine users I've following problem, I've a cheap joystick which is recognized as DragonRise Inc. - however many of them are I guess. It's some china stuff which is each time labeled different but almost always the same device (or so I've heard). Everything works great except the joystick is recognized as being 7 axis one - I really dont know why it does this. It

Speex + Ogg package
If by webchat you mean anything interactive, then I can already tell you what the problem is. TCP+Ogg. For anything real-time, you want UDP/RTP without Ogg. Also, you need to take into account the fact that computers do *not* have accurate clock and their soundcards drift. None of these problems are fatal, but you need to take that into account in the design. Jean-Marc On Mon, 2006-08-07 at

SAMBA server problem
Hi, I am experiencing an odd problem testing a SAMBA server on Linux/390. I have tested the same configuration on an Intel box without having this problem. The problem is particularly with windows 9x clients accessing the server. When a windows 9x client connects to a share and does a right-click on a file to show file properties, there is a long delay (depending on the file size) before the

Any buffering on server?
Hi, Thanks Mike. So is there any buffering done on the server, or is it all on the client? i.e. when a server first connects, does it get a "burst" of packets until it catches up to the current time?
