UTStarcom F1000 WiFi IP Phone Review

This is a my first impression of the device.
The F1000 supports SIP. It looks and operates like
a cell phone, and connects to the Internet through
WiFi, so you can use it at any WiFi hotspot. I set up
a 802.11b wi-fi network with a Linksys BEFW11S4
Wireless-B broadband router with no security
requirement and SSID broadcast enabled. When I turned
on the F1000 it automatically picked up the signal and
connected to the network.
Usage of the keypad is pretty intuitive, the
buttons are the same as on a cell phone, I didn't

I have the exact same problem. Here is a bit more information:
I have the following setup: 1 linksys router (BEFW11S4 version 1, latest
firmware: 1.44.2z, Dec 13 2002) with 1 sshd server:

Help with error log entry and terrible performance

too long. A google search suggested that speed negotiation was a
problem. I changed the NIC on the samba box to an SMC1244TX. The system
detected the change and configured the driver automatically.
I also configured the XP ethernet to lock 100mbs and full duplex.
I am using a Linksys BEFW11S4 router, that acts as the DHCP server for
the XP boxes (both of which have this problem). The linux box has the
ip etc. hard coded, of course.
I have started the troubleshooting guide for samba.
