ext2/ext3 directory handling
I have just been thru rebuilding a server that had been suffering
severe performance problems. I transferred the partitions to another
hard drive, copying into freshly formatted filesystems. This made
a HUGE difference in performance. One key directory structure

CUPS printing from Windows
I have replaced a WinNT4 PDC with a Samba server. I'm not experiencing
problems
with file sharing/locking at all, but printing is another issue. In
this network, there are

I have had no issues with file sharing/locking at all, but printing was
another matter.

ext2 problem
Hello all,
I know this question is (strictly speaking) off topic,
but if someone could at least point me in the right
direction, I would be most grateful.
I have an older system (RH 6.2, overdue for upgrade) with
an ext2 partition that was pushing 99% filled. I did some
space recovery and I have it down to around 90% utilization
now. I have rebooted the unit, and brought it up
