My general feeling is this: No optimizations should be creating int2ptr/ptr2int. We really need to fix them all. They should use pointer casts and i8* GEPs. I'm having a problem with nls: it iterates the correct number of times according to nls.control, but mis-reports how many iterations have occured! It converges on the correct parameter values, but doesn't stop and report them until it's done all its iterations. Then it reports as an error that it's stopped becaue it's done all its iterations.
