[LLVMdev] Is it safe to insert instructions in batches into BBs?
Hi, I'm getting a very strange behaviour while adding already created instructions in batches into basicblocks instead of creating and inserting them immediately. Because I need to insert instructions in a certain specific order inside multiple different BBs I found it easy to use the IRBuilder to create instructions without inserting them into a BB, storing them somewhere (vector, map ... etc) and later on inserting all of them in one go into their positions in the BBs. What I do is similar to this: IRBuilder<> IB(Context); Vector.push_bac...

asterisk based bbs
hello list, I was wondering: anybody ever wrote an asterisk based bbs? not a bbs about asterisk, but a vocal bbs that runs on asterisk, so that people can call, hear the discussion of the day, leave messages, etc. it seems a rather basic application to me though I cannot find much about. thanks l. -- Creato con M2, il rivoluzionario client e-mail di Opera: ht...

[LLVMdev] Preserving BBs of bitcode to target binary
Hi, all I wonder whether I can preserve basic blocks of llvm-bc when it is compiled to the target(x86) binary. for instance, #llc --march=x86 test1.bc -o test1.s #llvm-gcc -O0 -o test1 test1.s then, can BBs from output binary of 'test1' find their correspondents from 'test1.bc' and vice versa? What I eventually want to find out is 1-1 mapping of BBs between llvm-bc and generated target binary. If anyone can tell me how can I do this it will be very grateful. Thanks for your help, i...

[LLVMdev] CallGraph
...big CFG (control flow graph) by combining all the CFG-s from all the functions of a module. I still have one problem : I want to get the links between functions. For CFG-s, I used CallGraphNode->second->getFunction, then Function_iterators and succ_iterators, so I have all the links between BBs. Now, the questions is how do I link BBs from different functions? I can do it in a way not so elegant. Take the last BB of every function, then getTerminator and see that function it is called and then link to (instruction-2-instruction). There must be there a better way to get the linkage betwe...

Adding BB input/output registers during ISel
...k object's lifetime spans across 2 or more basic blocks and am hoping someone from the community will be able to offer a little insight so that if there are major issues here I can find out sooner rather than later. I'd like to add this newly-created big vector value as an input reg for all BBs that reference the original stack object but do not contain it's LIFETIME_START node, and I'd like to add it as an output reg for all BBs that reference the original stack object but do not contain it's LIFETIME_END node. I can create Copy From/ToReg nodes easily enough and I think I ca...

Basic Coverage
Hi My goal is that given a binary and the corresponding input. I want to know what IR level basic blocks are covered. I need the detail information, which is the set of all the covered BBs rather than just a number. I want to know whether there are some tools that can support this requirements. If not, I think maybe instrumentation can helps. However, I do not know too much about this. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Thank you so much Regards Muhui -------------- next part --...

[LLVMdev] Improving loop vectorizer support for loops with a volatile iteration variable
...loop unswitching, jump threading, simplify-the-CFG, and loop simplify. The fundamental problem here is that the above optimizations cannot recognize a loop with a volatile iteration variable and do not preserve its canonical loop structure. (1) Loop unswitching generates several empty placeholder BBs only with PHI nodes after separating out a shorter path with no inner loop execution from a standard path. (2) Jump threading and simplify-the-CFG passes independently calls TryToSimplifyUnconditionalBranchFromEmptyBlock() in Transforms/Utils/Local.cpp to get rid of almost empty BBs. (3) TryToSim...

problem with predict(mboost,...)
...umeric scale. In order to restrict the predicted values to the value range from 3 to 8 I limit the feature space of the prediction data on the minima and maxima of the training data for every predictor variable before applying the model on the new data. As baselearner in mboost I use splines ("bbs"): mod <- mboost(MF ~ bbs(predictor1) + bbs(predictor2) + bbs(...), data = train) I wonder why there are negative values when applying the model on new data, because both, training and prediction data have the same value ranges in the predictor variables. Did somebody get the same warnin...
