Times series adjustment
Dear all,
I want make correction depth of a bathymetric data set.
To do so, I have the depth data set sample every second (a depth at each
second) in one hand, and in the other hand, I have a tide variation
level data set sample every 250 ms. The time register in each data sets
(tide and bathymetric) is express in seconds followinf this format :

...by colourgradients). Besides from one or the other non
free software I only found an OpenOffice macro, a combination of
Gnuplot and Excel (an Excel macro calling gnuplot)
(http://www.johannes-hopf.de/2009/12/carpet-plot-version-1-3/9 and
Quikgrid (http://www.galiander.ca/quikgrid/) which I use for
bathymetric maps.
Though I use one or two R scripts I have no deeper knowledge. Because
I think "That's a thing R can do!", I suppose, there are scripts for
this purpose. Perhaps one of you knows such a script. I would be very
grateful if you could point me to some information on this subject....

GAMs and GAMMS with correlated acoustic data
...iomass density made along line transects in two lakes (lakes
Michigan and Huron, three years in each lake). The data represent
lakewide surveys in each year and each data point represents the estimate
for a horizontal interval 1 km in length.
I'm interested in comparing biomass density and bathymetric distribution
(bottom depth) in the two lakes and there is graphical evidence of a
non-linear relationship between biomass density and bottom depth. Hence
my interest in GAMs.
Predictors of primary interest are lake (factor) and bottom depth
(continuous).
The fish data are autocorrelated at v...

Seeking Assistance: Plotting Sea Current Vectors in R
Dear Rcommunity,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to seek your assistance with
a data visualization problem I am facing while working with R.
Problem Description:
I have a dataframe named "df" containing the following columns:
"longitude", "latitude", "sea_currents_mag", and "sea_currents_direction".
The dataframe includes sea
