I have several discontinued Sierra Wireless MP775 mobile GSM/EDGE radio modems. These devices were originally installed in emergency vehicles to provide data and voice access along with GPS reporting. They have external RF connections for GSM/EDGE and GPS signals. The baseband side includes four wire audio, RS-232 serial, USB and some parallel digital I/O for panic switches etc. GSM voice connections are established by sending AT commands via the RS-232 serial or USB ports and utilizing a handset connected to the four-wire audio jack. How are file permissions determined under Samba? If I log onto my Linux server (terminal session using Putty) and create a file that file is given the following file permissions (rw- rw- r--). That is correct, because in my home directory I have a .bashrc file that has a umask command that states umask 002. However, when I use Samba to log onto my Linux server and use Word/Excel to create a file

...the BACK channel information which is riding on a 'carrier wave.' If I recall correctly (and I probably don't) the back channel is AM coded on a high frequency signal (80khz or 160khz comes to mind.) A quad capable receiver de-multiplexes the back channels and subtracts them from the baseband signal to send only the front signals to the front speakers and back signals are then sent to the back speakers. Has anybody ever integrated Skype with Asterisk? If you have, which software would you recommend to accomplish such a task? ChanSkype? And how reliable are the calls? Did the DTMF tones work? Hard(?) lock when reassociating ath with wpa_supplicant on RELENG_7

I seem to be able to lock my machine by going into wpa_cli and asking it to 'reassoc'. The reason for question mark after "hard" is that debug information (caused by wlandebug and athdebug) is being printed on the console. The only way to get machine's attention is to hold power button for 8 seconds. Note: manual reassociation is just the handy way to reproduce the problem

Hi All, Is there any devices or pair of devices that do audio over RS485 and then convert to SIP for us in asterisk? Of course a speaker and push button at the other end. Hi Shakeel, I had the same problem building app_swift (1.6..) myself and searched the web far-and-wide for a solution. I eventually contacted Darren Sessions -- who was maintaining that plug-in -- about a month ago. He was involved in another project and said he might be able get to it after a few weeks.
