loop is going to take 26 hours - needs to be quicker!
...rough all the longs for every lat for every year - which is the
order the data is running down the column in gpcc.data2 so n increses by 1 each
time and each data point is pulled off....
It needs to be a lot quicker, I'd appreciate any ideas!
Many thanks for taking time to read this,

Called ID in Australia
Hello All,
Can any Australians who have any info or current patches relating to
Caller ID in Australia please drop me a line? There is little or no
info on the Wiki regarding this topic, although I am aware of a
related patch mentioned in the bug tracker.

Using group membership to access a symlink directory
...ever, if they try to browse to
the testgroup "directory", it does not grant them access.
It shouldn't matter, but I have even changed the symlink 'file' to have
the user be the owner. Still no dice.

Tobit analysis
...s a normal distribution?
Also, I want to censure at the upper bound, so, using the survival5 package I use:
survreg(Surv(y,y<c,type="right")~x) for a censored regression.
Could anybody who's had experience of this, confirm whether I'm in the ballpark?
Grateful thanks

I have tried editing the .subscriptions file by hand and it does cause

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

y-axis coordinates increase up the axis.
Can anyone simply tell me whether this is correct as I find it very hard to know
which way up my data should be and I cannot tell which is correct simply by
looking at it!
Many thanks for your time in reading this problem,

I would rally appreciate hearing back from any of you who may have wanted to

pointers.

Escape ''&'' in text_field_with_auto_complete
Good day.
I have searched on the net and through the archives to now avail as of yet.
I have a text_field_with_auto_complete that searches for company names.
These company names obviously can have an ''&'' in the name of the company
(example Barnes & Nobel).
The auto complete works beautifully.
However, the problem arises when I pass the name of the company to the
controller to use in searching the customers for the other information in
the database relevant to the customer.
Error result ==> :company_name => "Barnes ",...

Creating a plot with an image as background
I want to create a plot of positions (x(t),y(t)) of animals in a barn for t=1,2,... (I have in mind creating many of these, saving them as png's and combining them into a small movie). I have an image file showing the physical layout of the barn, and I would like to have that image as background for the plots. Can that be done in R (easily) or is that something I...
