interest in developing this for the current build of LLVM? Why was the
original support dropped? Would it make a good basis for current support,
or has the core software changed too much since then?
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any insight. Thank you.

Please Help. Subtraction of Matrices?
...9;s if a response is
correct. Yet Response minus Bigkey doesn't work. Documents indicate
vectors should add and subtract, and seem to imply matrix algebra should
also work. How can I do this? Can you help, and save me a great deal of
time and trial-and-error. Thanks for any help.--Gene Barlow, Ft. Lauderdale FL.

Case-Cohort Analysis
Hi All,
I am in the middle of doing an analysis of a Case-Cohort design. I had three questions about the analysis:
a) Does any one know of some public code for developing the patient risk sets (indexed by failure time) or is there a better way to organize the data?
b) I was planning to use the Barlow weighting method. Has this or any other weighting method (Prentice, Self-Prentice) been implemented in R?
c) Is matching a good thing to do or can the variables that would be used for matching just be adjusted for in the cox regression (is there a reference for this because I can??t find one)? If...

Estimation of discrete unimodal density
Dear All,
A method for the estimation is univariate unimodal densities (with unknown
mode) is described in "Statistical Inference under Order Restrictions" by
Barlow et al.. Would anyone know whether there is an R-implementation
(preferably with reference) for the estimation of univariate discrete unimodal
densities (with unknown mode)? Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards,

And this option seems to suggest things related to my scenario.
Anyway, I have said enough I think.
Please let me know if I have explained this clearly enough and / or this is
possible with Tinc.
Any help regarding the above would be appreciated.
Thank-you in advance!

isotonic regression
Dear R-users
Do you know of an easy way in R of performing "isotonic (unimodal)"
regression ala BBBB, Barlow, Bartolomew, Brenner and Brunk.

How can I "get" the rails logger from a plain class, that is a class
that does not inherit from a rails class?

Solved! Thanks! Please Help. Subtraction of Matrices?
G?ran Brostr?m <gb at stat.umu.se> responded to my call for help (Please Help.

Order-restricted inference
Hello,
I looked for R packages which focused on order-restricted statistical
inference, but I could find only the isoreg() function.
I would need to test whether the means in my (repeated measures) data follow
a given order, e.g. A<B=C<D.
I took a look at the monograph by Barlow et al. (1972) on this topic and
found that for my case the null hypothesis is always A=B=C=D. This might be
a naive question, but wouldn't it be more appropriate to use "at least one
pair of means does not follow the alternative hypothesis order", or to use
this latter hypothesis...

Interesting VPN Security Issue - Tinc Affected?
Hi everyone,
I just saw this and was wondering what people thought.

Is Tinc susceptible to the same intrusions?

Sparse files and block devices
I started playing with btrfs last night, and I must say that I am very
excited! I do have one question so far. Since I was learning, I created
a sparse file, and then used mkfs to get a btrfs filesystem. I
entertained myself with that for a while, and then decided that I wanted
to try out the multi device support. I found that the device add command
requires the device to be a block device, and

Samba4 - user permissions on shares
Hi all,
I installed Samba4 on an Ubuntu Server 11.10 at home for some testing.
It is configured as DC and everything seems to work just fine.
I managed to add win7 and win xp machines to the domain and to browse
the AD settings with the microsoft administrative tools.
I also created a simple share and it works.
Now I would like to learn how to give specific permissions to my shares.

I''m having some trouble with getting an ENC to work alongside site.pp:
Even with a ''default'' node definition, and an ENC that only returns 0,
regardless of input, consistently results in a ''cannot find node'' error.
I''m wondering what I''ve missed here.
I''ve tried to reduce everything to a ''base case'': and

Video codec
Hi,
I guess this is a good time to start putting together a wish list for a
video codec.
I see that for audio the compression is around 10X for reasonable quality.
I am sure this will start its own thread of conversation.
For video you can do 40X fairly easily and the big task is to go to 80X or
100X with reasonable picture quality, say, a peak luma SNR of more than 30
dB. Uncompressed
