Newbie R question
Hi,
I am a newbie with R. My environment is linux and
I have a file. I call it barebone.R, which has one
line:
cat ('Hello World!\n')
I execute this file as:
R --no-save < barebone.R
And it does what I expect. What I get is 20+/- lines
of text, one of which is 'Hello World!'.
How would I go about getting rid of all but the line I
am after, 'Hello World!...

Asterisk and USB ISDN controllers ...
Guys,
I am planning on building a small SIP PBX with a single ISDN line. Currently
I am looking into the specs of a very tiny barebone system that has an
option Colognechip base ISDN controller. The only thing is that the ISDN
module that comes with this barebone hooks up to the motherboard using USB.
My intention is to allow incoming and outgoing calls from SIP to ISDN. Is
this setup in any way supported by *?

OT: Windows TAPI command-line driver
Hi,
This is a bit off-topic, but still related to telephony. Is there a
barebones TAPI driver that exists that would allow me to call up a command
line with, as parameter, the number to dial.
For exemple, Outlook integrates with TAPI, so that TAPI driver would allow
me to call my own app with the phone number as argument.

Hardware Specs
Hello all!
I was wondering if you can help me a little bit...
My boss wants me to do some research in finding which hardware is most used
under Linux(ex. Dell servers, Barebones Kits, HP & Compaq servers, etc.)
This is just for budgeting issues...he wants to get rid of some old and
obsolete hardware we run and wants to know which hardware could be easy to
deploy on the server side and workstations side(common user boxes will be
decided for HP or Dell leasing quotes -...

[LLVMdev] Using MCJIT in a dynamic REPL environment
...tion-oriented.
If I understand correctly, the main problems with the old JIT were the
duplication of the debug information code and EH code (both gone now).
Moreover, if we ignore the lazy evaluation mechanism then the current JIT
is actually quite simple module.
Would it be possible to keep such barebones JIT (without lazy evaluation
which does add to the complexity) and get back the Debug and EH information
but from the existing MCDwarf framework ?
What were the reasons EH and Debug modules were duplicated in JIT rather
then reused from lib/MC?
Maybe move the barebones JIT function-level funct...

Exact String Compare in R?
Dear R users:
Here's a barebones example of what I can't make work.
As you can see, regexpr() does not perform an exact string match, which only
occurs in row 1 of these data frames. Instead, as it's supposed to do, it
finds "b" in "bb" and "c" in "cc". Does anybody know what func...

Mini PCs
...specific software you're running from CentOS on your zbox in order
to manage the rooter features?
I currently use, between my xDSL box and my LAN machines, an ATX-format
box running a pretty old GNU/Linux system with a Jay's Firewall setup
but I'd like to replace it w/ a fanless small barebone like the Zotac
CI327: minimum hardware and cost but it has 2 LAN connectors - that's my
point for rooting at home: WAN <-> xDSL modem <-> rooter-linux-box <->
LAN <-> local machines.

Tyan K8SRE troubles with CentOS 4.4 i386
We have been seeing failures with CentOS 4.4 i386 (not x86_64) running
compute-intensive programs on Tyan K8SRE (S2891) Tymotherboards, running
Opteron 265's. This motherboard is used in the Tyan barebones box GT24
(B2881). We have these boards populated with 8GB of RAM, consisting of
mixed 2GB and 1GB sticks.
The symptom is that CPU-bound programs (may or may not be related to
floating point) fail randomly and intermittently, with wrong answers or
segfaults. Running several in parallel seems...

Building Mail Server, Need Advice
Hello,
We're getting around to upgrading our mail server and here are the quick

Is that MegaRAID controller supported in CentOS4.3 out of the box? I
really don't want to muck around with driver disks and the like. Anyone

Transfer feature dialing out after one digit
...eature instead
of the built in transfer functions of the phones. While testing it was
working fine, but I changed something in features.conf and suddenly any
time I hit transfer (*2), I can only enter one digit before asterisk
immediately tries to dial that extension.
Features.conf is extremely barebones so I'm not sure where any problems
would come up:
[general]
transferdigittimeout => 3
xfersound = beep
[featuremap]
blindxfer => #
atxfer => *2
Tried change transferdigittimeout to something insanely long like 100,
but still the same thing. I even fully restarted asterisk (just...

TE410P PCI card in 1U rackount server
I was wondering if there is anyone following the list that has this or
similar PCI cards running in a 1U server. If so, could you possibly
recommend a PCI card bus adapter? I'm not sure exactly which kind I'll
need.
I plan on researching the different types of adapters I can purchase for
my specific mobo (Supermicro X9SCA-F), but I'd like to not waste time by
ordering an incorrect
