Simple way to banish IP addresses ?
Hi, I just set up a web server... and my bandwidth is being eaten by some chinese folks trying to brute-force-ssh their way into the machine. Is there a simple way to banish either single IP addresses or, maybe even better, whole IP classes ? I know it's feasible with iptables, but is there something more easily configurable ? Cheers, Niki

[LLVMdev] I would like to banish libc++'s <dynarray> implementation into "experimental"
<dynarray> was added to the C++14 standard, libc++ implemented it, and then it was removed. Now (from the standard’s point of view), it is in limbo. I would like to move it into std/experimental; to make it clear that it’s not a part of the standard. Any objections? Anyone using it? — Marshall

[LLVMdev] misc. patches
VS has a 64-bit portability mode, where it will complain when it sees non-portable code. I haven't tried it yet on LLVM, but in my experience it will generate a *lot* of warnings. Every time a size_t or ptrdiff_t is assigned to an int or even a long it will complain (Microsoft defines long as 32-bits, even in win64). On the other hand, gcc defines long as 64-bits on 64-bit Unix (so

Who's eating our bandwidth?
Hi, I've recently setup a new server for our public libraries. For the last two years, this has been my first "big" job, since it involves networking eleven small to medium size public libraries. There was a hiccup some time ago when the administration hiring me wanted to do it on their own, but it took them less than two weeks to get the server hacked and lose everything. So

1.1~pre17 is no longer available for OSX from Homebrew.
Hey Folks, It seems that Homebrew for some reason arbitrarily decided to banish all of the --devel flavors from all of their installable packages.  I couldn't find any discussion as to why or what they intend to replace the function with. **update;  this is where they decided to do this; https://github.com/Homebrew/brew/pull/5060#issuecomment-428149176 But in the meantime, 1.1pre17 is

CentOS-5.7 SRPMS
Are the 5.7 source RPMs going to be mirrored to http://www.<my favorite mirror>/centos/ 5.7/os/SRPMS/ and http://www.<my favorite mirror>/centos/ 5.7/updates/SRPMS/ as was the case for the previous releases ? Or are they permanently banished to http://vault.centos.org/5.7/ as per the readme.txt currently in place on most mirrors ? Thanks -- Dave Baukus

Hi list, i have a strange "ghost" folder in my subscription list and just can't find out how to get rid of it. It seems to be someones Inbox, but it doesn't tell me whose. Here's a screenshot of Open-Xchanges Web-GUI: /http://s9.postimage.org/6aohh97ov/iehadjhb.jpg / As you can see there is an unamed folder just under Freigaben (Shares). In Thunderbird:

[LLVMdev] misc. patches
Hi, here are some minor patches that for various reasons I've not submitted yet - I'm just trying to clear my list of differences before christmas... First of all the clear.patch file contains a patch that enables the JIT to drop all global mappings. I need this because when I have N threads I compile N different versions of my functions using different memory areas for global

Tru64 SIA authentication: can it be called after kerberos?
Hi All. There have recently (well, today :-) been changes to OpenSSH Portable's auth-passwd.c from OpenBSD to accomodate forced changes of expired passwords. (Rabid password expirers shoulon't get excited yet, it's currently bsdauth only, but support for other platforms should start trickling in shortly). As part of that, some individual platforms have gained their own

0.3.13.4 Pre-Release -- Almost Ready
Hi folks, I just put a pre-release of Mongrel up for people to try. You can install it with: gem install mongrel --source=http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/releases/ And try out your application and confirm the stuff works. USE RFUZZ AND RUBY If you find a bug, I''d appreciate it if you can go grab RFuzz (or use net/http) and work up a little bit of Ruby that demonstrates the bug. If

Re: [Swig-devel] license issue
Just re-posting so swig-devel get so see it. It's an architectural solution whereby swig has the power to banish licensing conflicts that may exist between any imported library and the target system for which swig is generating a module. -----Original Message----- From: "Sam Liddicott" <sam@liddicott.com> To: "Alexander Lind" <malte@webstay.org>; "William

[Bridge] Re: [VLAN] newbie problems
Thanks for the reply. You are quite right about the routing, and i've advanced to the bridging part. But it will not work. I've finaly gotten access to the switch it's connected to and from the logs i've got this output: Jan 26 16:49:56: %SPANTREE-2-RECV_PVID_ERR: Received BPDU with inconsistent peer vlan id 4 on GigabitEthernet0/1 VLAN40. Questions regarding asterisk-opus package in Debian Stretch repo and Opus in general
Hello, After reading [1] (in french), I would be very happy if I could get answers to: 1. Does this 13.7+20161113-3 package version has any relation with asterisk's version it complements ? Current asterisk version in repo is 13.14.0. Does this 13.7 complies with it ? 2. From package description, is this package enough or not to allow transcoding with G711 ? For instance, in the following
