Weird quirk with ingress policing
Hi,
I notice that if two or more existing connections match an ingress
policing filter, the input bandwidth does not get evenly divided up
between the n connections.
Kinda like litters of baby animals, where the stronger babies get more
access to the mothers teats and grow up bigger and faster than their
siblings.
The only workaround that''s working for me is to set explicit ingress

HTB / ingress diffrence
...The best Idea is make
HTB queue 10kbit ceil 50kbit
but one user (the Donkey one :) ) who using P2P take all the outgoing
band.
When I make HTB is trafic was very low Donkey doesn''t get any data or
take
only a little, outgoing traffic was about 1-2K, but In HTB trafic I have
full outgoing bandwich.
I change outgoing trafic queue to ingress and limit it to 35kbit. (less
than in HTB)
WOW... Donkey gets data fullspeed and outgoing was about 2-3Kbit!!!
I think that the problem is in ACK packets. Why HTB block all data,
ingress not??
I try make other queue for ACK and SYN packets for client and...

Very serious performance degradation
...of data of 1TB only, the performances are near :
- Read : 5 MB/s
- Write : 500 KB/s !!!!
The write speed is so low that is breaks any network copy (Samba or SFTP). The only solution I found to copy large files to the pool without outages is to use SFTP via Filezilla, with the activation of the bandwich limit (limit=300 KB/s) !!!
In this pool, I have 18 filesystems defined :
- 4 FS have a recordsize of 16KB (with a total of 100 GB of data)
- 14 FS have a recordsize of 128KB (with a total of 900GB of data)
There is a total of 284 snapshots on the pool, and compression is enabled.
There is 3 GB o...
