RFC: New function attribute "patchable-prologue"="<kind>"
I think most function redirection patching schemes are going to be mutually incompatible, so I'm not sure it makes sense to make this attribute a comma-separated list. I think Eric's and Dean's use case may be better addressed by a separate attribute. My recollection is that they want to add nop slides to the prologue and epilogue that can be hotpatched to enable and disable

CentOS repo issue
I just built these servers, and the other admin added some more packages, then we moved them into the datacenter. I see errors from a cron job, Could not get metalink https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-7&arch=x86_64 error was 14: curl#6 - "Could not resolve host: mirrors.fedoraproject.org; Unknown error" So I logged on, and ran yum list apcupsd, to see if it was

Motherboards and IRQs
Someone mentioned earlier (I can't find the message now) that they had a motherboard that allowed you to change IRQ assignments in BIOS. Does anyone happen to know how to identify motherboards that can do this? I'm going to put together a new machine now and I'm having trouble picking a motherboard for it (ordering from Dell or other online vendor is not an option, since I need

Scaffolding for pre-existing database table in 2.0.1
Hi, first of all I will apologize in advance for my presumably noobish question, but I''m only starting to learn Rails and am a little confused with all the changes in 2.0.1. There are as good as no tutorials out yet and the 2 or 3 screencasts I''ve seen deal with the creation of both the app and the database. Now my problem is that I already have a database with a fair amount of

Migration questions...
Hi All, We are soon to migrate our mail server from one piece of hardware to another and we would like to take this opportunity to optimize things. As a result, we would like to replace "uw-imapd" and "qpopper" with "dovecot". The version we will be installing is 1.1.13-2, as this is what is available through the latest Debian stable backports. We will also be using
