search for: baffeled

Hi all, Not sure how to start but I have an automount map tripping as soon as automount starts. I've no services that use that mount point and am baffeled as to why its mounted. When I remove the map entry fro that mount point, I get complaints in / var/log/messages from automount about the missing mount point. Any ideas how I can finds what's causing the mount? ...up mygroup useing MMC (tjaco shows up as a groupmember of mygroup doing: getent group) I remove tjaco from the ACL and add mygroup with rwx to ACL Tjaco has NO access anymore As I add group 'domain users' (which tjaco is a member of) with rwx to ACL tjaco has access again. This keeps me baffeled for some weeks now. Furthermore I recall haveing read something about the importance of the SYSTEM group that should be added to the ACL but I don't understand how. SYSTEM is not a normal or builtin ADS group. Who can help? Thanks in advance, Tjaco

...I am wondering is if I should not have the system set up more like pvc0 ip xxx.xxx.250.74 pointopoint xxx.xxx.250.73 eth0 ip xxx.xxx.224.33 eth0:0 192.168.1.1 (for internal routing) with routing set up as default route xxx.xxx.224.33 net route xxx.xxx.250.74 src xxx.xxx.244.33 and I am completely baffeled why xxx.xxx.224.72 shows up on the routing at all.... This is a wierd setup, and apparently is beyond me... Can anyone help me here? Michael.

I had no problem adding the machine to the domain, I just can't use getent to pull a listing or access the share from any of the domain worstations without having a local account on the RH box. In the past using RHFC4 and a Win2k3 domain I've had no problems. So I'm just baffeled right now. Maybe I've overlooked something. Maybe it's something with the 2K domain. Any help is appriciated.
