The command line I'm using is smbclient //machine_name /backup$ "password" -N -Tc $BACKUP_DEVICE >>$BACKUP_TEMP_LOG \ 2>>$BACKUP_TEMP_ERROR_LOG The clients are a mix of Windows ME and Windows 2000 Professional boxes. I use --filter='dir-merge .backup-filter" to allow my users to designate portions of their home directories that should be excluded from my rsync-based backup system. I'm looking for a way to periodically generate a report that shows the amount of backup space being used by each user.
