[RFC] Removing debug locations from ConstantSDNodes
FWIW: Debug information on constants feels odd to me. They are just values not something that is executed so conceptually I would not expect them to "happen" at a specific time/place in the program. That said most numbers are copied into registers or stored into memory and that is of course an interesting action. So in the original example I would hope to see debug info on whatever

Testing that named_scope is defined
Hi guys,
I''m just beginning to use RSpec and I ran into the issue of testing a
named_scope. I''m not actually trying to test its behavior, as it''s not
my code, but I wanted to test at least that it''s defined. I tried
doing this:
describe Post, ".most_recent" do
it "should be defined" do
Post.method_defined?(:most_recent).should be_true

basic indexing
I know there is a simple answer, I am attempting to make a simple indexing
issue too complex.
Suppose I have a dataframe like the following:
x y
1 5 8
2 8 9
3 1 2
4 6 8
5 9 8
Now suppose I simply wish to have a lagged indicator of x such that
x y z
1 5 8 NA
2 8 9 5
3 1 2 8
4 6 8 1
5 9 8 6
in stata this would be
gen z=x[N-1]
or even
x y z
1 5 8 NA
2 8 9 NA
3 1 2 NA
4 6 8 1
5 9 8 6

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.9.99.901
Ok, I think we've done enough damage for one release. Thanks everyone
for pulling a long weekend to get changes prepared and reviewed.
We're still missing the threaded input stuff, but that needs more review
and I think we wore Tiago out this time around. If someone wants to
propose merging it after the freeze, I think we should consider doing
it.
Note that this tarball depends on

CentOS Mirrors and Adjacent country groups
CentOS has developed our own mirrorlist and isolist applications and
inside this application, we have some countries that we shift to other
countries and we also have some country groups defined.
The purpose of these groupings is to have adjacent countries grouped
together for applications like fastest mirror and others.
I will put here what we currently have and ask the community to vet the

Sample still has horrorible distortions... anyone know why?
Hi,
I am subscribed to this list, and have learned a lot just from the discussions i see although i don't reply to the msgs, simply coz i'm no big deal programmer.
I feel, though, that as i'm really optimistic about vorbis and want it to grow and start to have more and more people using it, i feel that i should warn you about a bug the encoder have (i'm sure monty receives loads

How to define request.domain in when testing
Hi,
My application relies on request.domain for doing its job. The problem I
am encountering, is that when running tests, request.domain returns
"test.host", how can I change that so that it returns "mysite.com"?
Thanks in advance.

[LLVMdev] Compiler Driver Requrements & Design (Comments Solicited!)
LLVMers,
As part of my work on bug 353: Create Front End Framework And Compiler
Driver (http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/PR353), I'm starting a discussion on the
design and requirements of the compiler driver. If you have comments on
this, by all means PLEASE chime in. This is by no means cast in stone.
The results of the ensuing discussion will be documented in PR353 (and
elsewhere) and I'll use
