Corrupted dbox file around offset= EOF reading msg header
Hello Dovecoters,
I am using dovecot-2.2.10-8.el7.x86_64 on RHEL 7.4
When I backup mdboxes (using SIS) using this command
doveadm -Dv -o plugin/quota= sync -1f -u user1 at user.com
mdbox:/mailbackup/user1
mails get backedup but all m files are not copied. Last file copied is m.4
If I run the command again I get below error
I tried with doveadm backup command as well (many times).
Error: Corrupted dbox file / mailbackup/user1/storage/m.4 (around
offset=3732536): EOF reading msg header (got 0/30 bytes)

Rsync && ssh && passwordless
...n mismatch - is your shell clean?
(see the rsync man page for an explanation)
rsync error: protocol incompatibility (code 2) at compat.c(69)
Where did I go wrong? Is this not possible? If not, how can you go about
backing up a remote system to preserve all file attributes and where the
files being backedup aren't all readable by a non-privileged user or owned
by the same user?

daily back (incremental backup )
...emental
backup???
BACKUPDIR=`date +%Y%m%d`
OPTS="--backup --backup-dir=/home/bipin/$BACKUPDIR -a"
rsync $OPTS $BDIR $BSERVER/current
above command creates directory current but doesnot
create any sub-directory backup-dir (date wise where
only latest updated or newly created files get
backedup). Can I get some guidance.
Thanking you in advance.
Bipin

file are transffered via rsync but on the rsync server the files are
owned by the user used to connect

LDAP/Samba issues when replacing server
I hope that someone can let me know what I have done wrong.
I need to replace and existing server (server1) with a new server (server2). Server1 is currently running LDAP/Samba (3.0.14). Profiles stored in /opt/samba/profiles
I installed all of the pieces, and LDAP works (mostly, I have an issue, see below)
I ran net getlocalsid DOMAINNAME on server1
used the SID value in net setlocalsid

Best mkfs.ext2 performance options on RAID5 in CentOS 4.2
I can't seem to get the read and write performance better than
approximately 40MB/s on an ext2 file system. IMO, this is horrible
performance for a 6-drive, hardware RAID 5 array. Please have a look at
what I'm doing and let me know if anybody has any suggestions on how to
improve the performance...
