maxNR in maxLik package never stops
Greetings,
I use maxNR function under maxLik package to find the REML estimates of the parameters of variance components in heteroskedastic linear regression models. I assume that in the model there is additive/multiplicative/mixed heteroskedasticity and I need estimate the respective parameters of additive/multiplicative/mixed variance components.
For my research purposes I make a

R runs in a usual way, but simulations are not performed
Dear addresses, I need perform a batch of 10 000 simulations for each of
4 options considered. (The idea is to obtain the parameter estimates in
a heteroskedastic linear regression model - with additive or mixed
heteroskedasticity - via the Kenward-Roger small-sample adjusted
covariance matrix of disturbances). For this purpose I wrote an R
program which would capture all possible options (true

nistp256 preferred over ed25519
Hello,
Maybe I'm asking an already answered question, if yes I'm sorry to
bother you.
Why in default HostKeyAlgorithms settings is
ecdsa-sha2-nistp256-cert-v01 at openssh.com preferred over
ssh-ed25519-cert-v01 at openssh.com ?
For example in default settings for KexAlgorithms the
curve25519-sha256 at libssh.org is preferred over ecdh-sha2-nistp256.

ZFS locking up! Bug in ZFS, device drivers or time for mobo RMA?
Greetings all.
I am facing serious problems running ZFS on a storage server assembled out of commodity hardware that is supposed to be Solaris compatible.
Although I am quite familiar with Linux distros and other unices, I am new to Solaris so any suggestions are highly appreciated.
First I tried SXDE 1/08 creating the following pool:
-bash-3.2# zpool status -v tank
pool: tank
