I could see a kernel developed for Xen 3.1 not working with 3.0.x, but my impression was 3.0.x were all meant to be compatible with each other (forward and backward). If this is not meant to work let me know, otherwise I will open up a bug . Hello guys Does anyone use lvm2 backends for domU storages ? I do and I wanted to use lvm''s snapshot feature to make backups of domUs in background but I got the following problem. When I create a snapshot LV and copy data from it to backup storage it works perfect. Then I do umount and then lvremove. lvremove asks me if I really want to remove the volume and then just hangs forever.

Currently we have a program vm-list that has some of this capability but is dependent on the cpu time given by libxc calls (xc_get_dom_info & xc_domain_get_cpu_usage). These two functions give you how much time (in nanoseconds, why is this not documented) the domain has been actively used. Approaches:
