psad Error
Just installed psad and am testing it. This morning I awoke to an email saying: [-] You may just need to add a default logging rule to the /sbin/ip6tables ''filter'' ''INPUT'' chain on hydra. For more information, see the file "FW_HELP" in the psad sources directory or visit: http://www.cipherdyne.org...

[LLVMdev] CodeExtractor status?
...icit prefetching (which we plan to compiler-automate in the future as well). This is used for data structures and dynamic memory. Essentially, things that need a "getelementptr" at some point. I never made this code available because it's still a research thing, but your question awoke my interest. ¿Could you elaborate on what you intend to do? Cheers -- Pablo Barrio Dpt. [LLVMdev] CodeExtractor status?
I am working on a pass to extract small regions of code to run somewhere else (different node in a cluster). Basically what I need is the ability to isolate a region of code, get its inputs and outputs, create a new function with the extracted code and code aggregating the in and out parameters as structs that can be cast for a “void*”-based interface. It looks like the CodeExtractor

Old kernel bug back in CentOS 6.10?
I updated a few hypervisors and their VMs to CentOS 6.10 on Monday; today I awoke to an alert saying all VMs are down. It looks like a very old bug crept back in. The machine is a ProLiant DL380 G7 with Xeon X5675 and 96 GB, running half a dozen smallish VMs. Hypervisor and all VMs have kernel 2.6.32-754.2.1.el6.x86_64. Around the time the VMs must have gone down, there are qu...

Samba, interested in buying lowrate high-quality medication?
...ne, just as heavy, just as light. The discipline of writing something down is the first step toward making it happen. Samba, best place for medications is over here http://quakers.sder4f.com/g73/index.php?id=g73 neoliths Children play soldier. That makes sense. But why do soldiers play children? I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and new. I married the first man I ever kissed. When I tell this to my children they just about throw up. Genius is the gold in the mine talent is the miner who works and brings it out.

CRAN downtimes
Hi, we had a broken heating system (in the floor above us) resulting in a water burst .... my office looks like if a bomb has exploded ... Currently our server is up and running again (it was down over the weekend) ... but we will move out of the devastated rooms and hence the CARN master might be down one or more times during the rest of the week. We'll try to keep the down times as short

character string to name
Hi folks, I thought I recalled a request for turning a character string into an object name as in: x$as.name("y")<-1:4 OR x<-data.frame(as.name("y")=1:4) However, as.name and a few other uninformed attempts didn't even come close. A search of "character to name" produced no helpful functions. This isn't a very urgent request, but if anyone knows

Dovecot cannot find mailboxes
Edgar, thank you for your help: I have solved gaining access from a client (Evolution) via IMAP to the server: I can refresh, add folders, and delete folders. But I am still confounded, as IMAP does not see any mailboxes. Neither we from the command line (telnet, openssl, login, select) nor the system can find the mailbox, despite following FindMailLocation: telnet, openssl, login, then b

Recovering from kernel panic / reboot cycle importing pool.
Yesterday morning I awoke to alerts from my SAN that one of my OS disks was faulty, FMA said it was in hardware failure. By the time I got to work (1.5 hours after the email) ALL of my pools were in a degraded state, and "tank" my primary pool had kicked in two hot spares because it was so discombobulated. ---...
