Kernel module indispensable?
...nouveau driver does not work at all without the corresponding kernel module. Is that true? Is there some hope to drop this requirement? Stefan "whose kernel says `-1 Unknown symbol in module' when trying to insert the new drm.ko module" PS: I see that the avivo guys already have a Debian package (in experimental), whereas that is still missing for the nouveau driver.

What is the motivation for choosing nVidia?
Dear developers I have just noticed your fantastic work, and I am looking forward to send you dumps of my GeForce 6150, when I get vacation in two weeks. It is an integrated GPU on my Asus A8N-VM CSM, so I hope it will work. The reason I post is, I am wondering what the motivation is for doing nVidia and not ATi?
