In libvirt documentation it is written that virDomainDetachDeviceFlags is an asynchronous call: http://libvirt.org/html/libvirt-libvirt-domain.html#virDomainDetachDeviceFlags Does that mean that also virDomainDetachDevice is asynchronous? the reasons mentioned in the above seems relevant for this one as well.
