Downgrade from 3 to 2 suggestions
After considerable experimentation I'm forced to accept that Samba 3 has problems with the combination of being a domain member, the 2.6 kernel, and Dell 2850 hardware. It works fine on the 2.4 kernels but fails on all the 2.6 versions I have avaialble for testing. I have one machine that I really prefer could stay at 2.6 so my last resort there is to try a downgrade to samba 2.X In the past samba has always 'just worked' so I have no experience at tuning the samba version to the kernel version. The system I need to downgrade is 2.6.1...

[LLVMdev] Do all the debug nodes in LLVM IR also compiles to DWARF?
Hi As the title says, are all the debug nodes of LLVM IR avaialble in DWARF? If I add a new custom MDNode in LLVM IR, can I expect the debug data will be available in DWARF in the binary if I compile in debug mode? Thanks Riyad -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/attachments...

MySQL + R as a Replacement for SAS Proc SQL + Various Stat Procs
...L followed by standard statistical procedures, e.g. regression using SAS proc reg. It seems to me that this type of analysis could be done in MySQL followed by R, but I'd like some advice about the best way to pass datasets from MySQL to R. I understand there are various connectivity packages avaialble, RODBC and RMySQL, but I'd appreciate some advice about where to dig in first. I'd like to avoid additional syntax in my SQL code -- so it seems better not to coat SQL queries in R wrappers and pass them to MySQL -- probably better for my way of working to finish all the SQL work and pass...

SECURITY: Important fixes for IMAP
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- The IMAP servers included with all versions of Red Hat Linux have a buffer overrun which allow *remote* users to gain root access on systems which run them. A fix for Red Hat 4.1 is now avaialble (details on it at the end of this note). Users of Red Hat 4.0 should apply the Red Hat 4.1 fix. Users of previous releases of Red Hat Linux are strongly encouraged to upgrade or simply not run imap. You can remove imap from any machine running with Red Hat Linux 2.0 or later by running the comman...

Multiple forest plots with the same x-axis and colour coded estimates and lines
...;",xlab="Remission @ 2 years") forestplot(plotext2r,estimate3y,lowerd3y,upperd3y,zero="",xlab="Remission @ 3 years") Having managed to obtain these basic plots I need the x-axes to be the same. Usually xlim would be sufficient to do this but this function is not avaialble within forestplot so does anyone know how I can make the x-axes the same over all the plots? Additionally, within each plot, two treatments are compared (top two blocks are treatment 1, 2nd 2 blocks are treatment 2, next 2 are treatment 1 etc.) Is there any way I can colour code the boxes to show...

rc2 incompatibilities ?
Files encoded with rc2 (comes from the latest RPM available at vorbis.com) seems to be unreadable for ogg123 < rc2 version (for example, beta4) Is that normal ? Will this file be readable with ogg123 >= rc2 ? Are plugins for windows player updated, can they read ogg files encoded with ogg123 rc2 ? --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage:
