[PATCH] Use krb5-config if avaialable for Kerberos parameters
Hi. I've had this patch a while (and I posted an earlier version a while back): it tries to use krb5-config to obtain the Kerberos build options. If it's not available, or isn't in the path specified to --with-kerberos5 then the existing behaviour is kept. It seems to work for me with MIT and Heimdal. I got some feedback from one person, would any of the Kerberos-using folk care to

[LLVMdev] [lld] Handling a whole bunch of readers
...AML stuff is all internal anyway, wouldn't it be simpler to just > hardcode the limited set of extensions we use for YAML files, and only do > that with non-emulated drivers unless explicitly asked to do so? That model would be difficult to maintain and we already have the YAML file as a avaialable form of an external output file (output-filetype=yaml). On a sidenote, All of the readers would have a validation function that would check the architecture, which makes extensions highly unmanageable. Thanks Shankar Easwaran

Anyone got a dialplan for SPA ATAs for ISN?
...as my Grandstream phones, intercept the "*" key that is a required part of ISN numbers and interpret it as a "metacharacter." Googling for a while has turned up evidence that this can be corrected by a carefully-crafted "dialplan" for the Sipuras, at least, but the avaialable documentation is, let's say, a little convoluted. I'm wondering if anyone on the list has cracked this, and would be willing to share the gobbledygook string needed to effect the proper behavior. Thanks. VAR with binary endogenous variables
Hi all! Does anyone know if a vector autoregression package is avaialable that allows binary variables as part of the endogenous system? I'm looking for something along the lines of what is implemented in "Dynamic Forecasts of Qualitative Variables: A Qual VAR Model of US Recessions" by Michael Dueker, 2003, Fed Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Another poss...

Upcoming LCA presentation
As some of you may know, I'm going to be presenting CELT at the upcoming linux.conf.au conference in January. See http://linux.conf.au/programme/schedule/view_talk/187?day=thursday for details about the talk. I would like to include some references to real world applications, demos, etc., where your are already using (or planning to use) CELT. If you want me to mention your project in front of

...ng. The original range code pdf presented in the UK by an ibm employee at the time asserts no patent claims what so ever. If there are patents I cant find em. I have the original paper in PDF if anyone cares to see it. Its a good candidate for encoding because browsing a few of the implememntations avaialable on line, I can roll my own and I think the speed would be acceptable. BTW, the speed of rangecoding over arithmetic is really not as great as you'd might think. The speed gain is because entropy normalization is done on the byte level for range, as opposed to the bit level. It is true that...

how to run R as a daemon
Hi all, Using R a as a real-time application called by Php for a website, I would like to run one R process only, which would manage user connections. For the time each user who asks for an analysis causes a new R process to start, which is not suitable in prevision of many users. R needs about 30 seconds to run the script which makes the analysis. The problem is that this waiting time is n
