The PTGui program runs fine within Wine. However, PTgui knows/uses two "helper" programs called autopano(.exe) and enblend(.exe). Both are console based executables doing calculations for ptgui. I uninstalled wine, removed my home/.wine directory, untarred/unzipped the 20050419 source to a temporary directory and used the ./tools/wineinstall command to build wine. Apart from a change in fonts (?), the behaviour is the same. I can run ptgui.exe and (start) autopano 1.02 and the combination of the both. I still can't run autopano 1.03. Hi Rein (and others), I shrunk one of my partitions, crated a new ext3, installed Fedora Core 3, downloaded the wine 20050419 rpm from winehq and installed that too. I then installed ptgui, panotools en autopano. autopano runs flawlessly and creates a good ptgui project file, but murphy hasn't left me. Just some extra info: I used my knoppix 3.8.1 CD (which I occasionally use on my company XP laptop) to boot and I installed ptgui, panotools, autopano and enblend (which required some tweaking due to the ramdisk config). Everything ran fine as it used to do in windows. Knoppix 3.8.1 is a modified debian system running kernel 2.6 and it uses wine 20050310. So my problem can't be a hardware problem either.
