pass caller ID to another application or machine.
I would like to have asterisk pass along the caller ID
phone number to a database server on a my local
network (the same network that the * server resides on
) so that our customer service app. can pull up
customer data automatially. Asterisk passes along
caller ID to the phones fine, can someone tell me how
to make it pass this info to my database server?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard

Suppose using profiling we know that N is always very small. So there
wont be much gain from parallelising
it. So we have to tell polly that don’t detect this as a SCoP if N is
less than a specific value.
Some other immediate applications would be
* Automatially derive the best scheduling strategy supported by OpenMP.
* Adding simple profiling support, to understand how much time is
spent inside each scop.
Andreas Simbuerger has done some significant work on this and can be extended.

Samba 4 two DCs no matching UID/GID
Thanks for your advice regarding modifying the ldb. Before I do that I have to tell that uids and gids are automatically assigned in ADUC Unix tab.
All have to do is to choose the NIS domain. After changing this field all other Unix attributes are automatially filled in. So this works.
I tried something different for testing:
I added a user with samba-tool using a script and assigned a random (based on date) number for uid:
Script add-ad-user:
samba-tool user create $1 --uid-number=$(date +%H%M%S)
Calling the script add-ad-user test1

Archive parameter doesn't preserve owner:group property!
Hi!
I would like some advices to combine security and automated backup...
How rsync manage hosts allow parameter compared to /etc/hosts.allow?
Is it possible to use ssh key just for authentification not for crypted
transfert?
I have also a problem to preserve owner:group properties even with archive
parameter which is supposed to do that.
I have to put gid =root and uid = root in

How to interrupt a zpool scrub?
Dear all
Is there a way to stop a running scrub on a zfs pool? Same question applies to a running resilver.
Both render our fileserver unusable due to massive CPU load so we''d like to postpone them.
In the docs it says that resilvering and scrubbing survive a reboot, so I am not even sure if a reboot would stop scrubbing or resilvering.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Cheers, Thomas

FreePBX 2.1.0: Manually rewriting
do you have selinux enabled? It should not be.
p
p.s. - if it comes to re-installing, you can backup all your settings with the freepbx backup utility and then restore so that you don't have to re-enter everything.

Fatal Samba bug? Why can't anyone answer this question?
Hi all,
I ran into a problem with samba and immediately googles for answers. I
found 30-odd references to places where this question has been asked
before, but no answers. I asked it myself here and got no answer.
Perhaps this is this a fatal bug in samba if no one knows how to fix it.
Below is my original question:

Rails Deployment Book
I''ve been mulling over an idea for a book covering Ruby on Rails
application deployment. Obvious topics include using Mongrel by itself
and with Apache/Lighttpd, load balancers, memcached, and Capistrano.
What other topics would you like to see covered in such a book?
Cheers,
