I know this is a little off topic but I know a lot of people use Samba to authenticate pcs and this may be useful. I was wondering if anyone has written a screensaver for Win95/98 that is password protected based on the current user, who has already been authenticated through Samba. So that if a user forgets to log out of the machine the screen saver comes on and can only be disabled by the user

Within an R session, type Sys.getenv() will list all the environment variables, but each one of them occupies about a page, so scrolling to find one is difficult. Hello I know that this is about outdated Samba versions, but I have to stick with those. And after trying now for days without getting anywhere I'm looking for help from others. We used an old Thecus-NAS as fileserver (no domain etc). It uses a Samba 3.0.26 which works as we want. Now we bought newer NAS-boxes, but those too use old Samba versions, 3.5.19. My clients are Windows XP SP1 and SP2, members of a Samba-PDC NT domain (tested 3.0.7 and 3.0.10, same result).
