The future is here, but Spamassassin doesn't buy it
Hey all, I am getting a number of incoming emails flagged as spam this morning. Here's why: X-Spam-Level: ***** X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=5.2 required=5.0 tests=FH_DATE_PAST_20XX, SUBJ_ALL_CAPS autolearn=no version=3.2.5 X-Spam-Report: * 3.4 FH_DATE_PAST_20XX The date is grossly in the future. The date of 2010 in the emails is correct. I have typed "sa-update" and

Using IMAP keywords instead of mailboxes for spam with dovecot-antispam
Hi, Some email clients, like Evolution, use IMAP keywords to flag spam instead of moving mail to dedicated spam mailbox. This is very useful, as false positives can be easily "moved" to original mailbox simply by removing $Junk keyword. I couldn't find a way how to integrate antispam software, like dspam, with dovecot, so that antispam automatically learns ham/spam. I have found

Bug#448510: logcheck-database: revised pattern for spamd
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.63 Severity: normal Tags: patch spamassassin is now reporting Unix domain sockets in the rport field. I'm not exactly sure what changed to cause this to happen; it started after an upgrade whose only remotely relevant package was razor. I think the following pattern in ignore.d.server/spamd will work ^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+

CentOS mailing list probe message (fwd)
With the latest message I send to the CentOS list I got this strange 'probe' message. The included bounce example has nothing to do with my email-adres, but rather with someone subscribed to the list. So it seems that somehow the mailinglist manager is sending bounces to the wrong email-adres. Or I do not understand the 'probe' message (and the included bounce message) at all.

imapsieve: script not triggered
Hi, folks! My problem: I set up dovecot with imapsieve to execute a script whenever a user copies a mail to his Spam folder (spam autolearning). Unfortunately this script is never executed regardless what I?m configuring for imapsieve. It looks like dovecot doesn?t really load the plugin? The "dovecot -n" output is attached. I already tried setting imapsieve_mailbox1_name to *, but even this does not execute the script? Also...

Bug#312376: /etc/logcheck/logcheck.ignore is no longer read
Package: logcheck Version: 1.2.39 Severity: normal Since I've upgraded my servers to sarge, I'm getting mail every hour for stuff that was duly included in /etc/logcheck/logcheck.ignore. Turns out that sarge's version no longer reads that file. If this was a conscious decision, then there should be some warning about this when upgrading (via debconf of NEWS.Debian). Also, the
